Performance Report
Another solid performance from the 19-year-old Algerian with Étienne Capoue alongside him to learn from. It wasn't a faultless display, he positioned himself wrong for a pass in the first half where Eric Dier passed behind him and allowed QPR to break at goal. There were a couple of passes that went to the opposition, one deep in our own half which could have caused danger but was snuffed out, to be fare to him he chased the ball down once he'd given it away and one careless pass in the second half, again which he chased back down. There was another one in the first half which was cut out on the half way line in the first half but apart from these minor blemishes it was an accomplished performance. He and Frenchman Capoue dominated the midfield and allowed the attacking quartet to run rampage, without the shield provided by Bentaleb and Capoue they wouldn't be able to.
He found time to have a shot himself that was on target but blocked, played Adebayor in for the first goal, and crossed from the left for Adebayor to head over from centrally 8 yards out when perhaps he should have done better. In his partnership with Capoue he is the one with more licence to go forward while Capoue sits although they can interchange that role as opportunity dictates.
It is quite amazing how far he has come since he played his first game towards the end of December. His emergence allows the club to release Sandro who has been seeking a new challenge in Italy since March.
He and players like Harry Kane have a strong feeling for this club. We were the only ones who believed in Bentaleb and gave him a chance so a big pat on the back for Tim Sherwood. If Tottenham can keep this youthful side together then we'll have a group of players with a real feel for the club and we need that with Michael Dawson set to leave.

Holtby runs better, tackles better and creates more chances than him.
Poch shd try pairing Capoue with Holtby. It'll work lyk magic.
