How many of the 'Summer Seven' will stay?

One season on and they have flopped. Only Christian Eriksen for 3 months at the end of the season displayed anything remotely worthwhile. The fact he won Player of the Year for 3 months work is rather insulting to someone like Hugo Lloris who performed over a longer period. It says a lot about supporters in general, dazzle for a little and they forget everything else.

Vlad Chiriches is a case in point, he was a disaster yet to some fans brilliant. He, the club and his agent saw it differently though with his agent telling the Italian press recently that he doubts Chiriches will play in England again, it doesn't suit his game.

Franco Baldini is trying to arrange a swap deal with Italian side Fiorentina for highly rated centre-back Stefan Savić who is wanted by top clubs throughout Europe. Chiriches agent expects him to be playing in Italy next season.

Roberto Soldado is desperately trying to get away from Spurs also. Reports suggest he has tolsd his agent to get him out even if he has to take a huge wage cut. All that would actually mean is that he returned to the wages he was on before he left Valencia.

He agent is touting him round Spain and trying to do a deal with Atlético Madrid to replace Chelsea bound Diego Costa or the ageing David Villa.

Sky Italia have reported that Erik Lamela is being offered to Italian clubs for £25 million although with Mauricio Pochettino arriving his departure is no certainty.

Nacer Chadli has expressed his desire to stay, as has Paulinho, who is interesting a host of clubs and Christian Eriksen.

The other member of the 'Summer Seven' was Étienne Capoue who sought to get out of the club in January and got injured shortly after getting into the team. Napoli were very interested in him and it remains to be seen what his future holds.
