Today is the day that could spark rows on forums among Spurs fans all over again. With a 6-0 humiliation still fresh in the minds Spurs take on Manchester City once again.
Another humiliation and you'll hear the cries of we should never have got rid of AVB. The tiny minority who immediately demanded answers from Daniel Levy, that Tim Sherwood obliged with in numbers, will be vocal again.
Quite why supporters, who know nothing about goings on behind the scenes, were demanding Daniel Levy explain his departure is a mystery. Turgid football where players were more concerned with completing a pass than actually passing forward into the box, or wingers tucked in more interested in shooting than passing to our striker should have given them all the answers they needed.

Still the Adebayor show has shut them up for a bit, the guy AVB refused to pick has tucked away 5 goals in 7 games, another couple tonight wouldn't go amiss. Management is about seeing there is a problem and if it sees no sign of changing then you have to take authority and make changes before it's too late. That is what Daniel Levy did.
AVB was taking us backwards instead of forwards. His tactics cost us Champions League football last season and were looking like doing so again. The reality didn't match the sales pitch so a draw or even a win would say everything that needs to be said. Make it so.
Spurs need to put in a better performance. Both sides will attack, both sides will have chances, both sides may well score, goals look likely. We can hope for a win, we can't expect one but at least we are not going into the game with the dread we had before the Liverpool humiliation.
Records count for nothing as City are now built on money and not football, we have to do it the old way instead of being someones ego boosting play thing.
