Where does Dave Kidd get his info from?

The People reporter, Dave Kidd, released an article yesterday stating that "all but three Spurs player are up for sale".

Only Defoe, Lennon & Woodgate are "the untouchables".

Where does this guy get his information from? I'm fairly confident Harry & Sandra didn't have Dave round for tea so as to discuss which players are staying/leaving.

Wilson Palacios for example isn't for sale, or shouldn't be in my opinion. I'm also pretty confident that Modric isn't for sale either.

So Dave, do you care to explain to us where your story came from?

Maybe Palacios & Modric are for sale, if so, please let us know who gave you this exclusive.

  4. What gets me is that these idiots who just sit at home (or pub more likely) and make these stories up are allowed to get away with it. I thought that there was a press watchdog who is supposed to look out for journos printing lies and made up stories as facts. But while people still buy these rags then they will still be hired. I stopped buying newspapers years ago as I was so fed up of reading rubbish purporting to be "news"
  5. It's pretty clear to me what's happened. Defoe, Woodgate and Lennon are the three players being used for the new kit promo work.

  6. I work at the People and under Dave's stewardship.

    Modric and Sgt. Palacios have both been enquired after by BIGGER clubs and are available for the right price. £28m was quoted for Luka, whilst nearly £20m plus add ons for Wilson could fetch his signature.

    As a Spurs season ticket holder I'm obviously hoping the pair will stay - they're the players that will change our prospects this year in my opinion.

    As for THBN claiming journalists to make stuff up..?!

  8. ANY player is available for the "right price" - look at Christiano Ronaldo - you might as well run a piece saying every player in the EPL is up for sale under that logic.
  9. to 10.56am - you're not reading it properly. The 'untouchables' are NOT for sale - no-one said Modric or Palacios were; they're just not on the list of players we WON'T sell.

  12. To be honest with you, that article has to be the worst bit of journalism I've seen in a long time.

    I don't normally buy the said paper as they do often turn out rubbish, but this story does sum up the journalistic prowess.

    The People are well known for writing absolute garbage. As if such a cheap low life rag would have information other reporters cannot get.

    Cheap BS to get the papers sold.

    our squad now has decent depth in most areas. we sorted that out in january. what we require now is a touch more class; some one special up front to partner with the clinical defoe, and as many times aforementioned, a winger.

    it wouldn't be a disaster if the team's framework in the coming season was basically the same as last's. just an ounce more quality and that'll do us nicely methinks
  17. Erm. Actually, the guy pretending to work for Kidd has a point. Man U are after Modric (as a replacement for Giggs) and I believe that Harry would let him go if the right price comes (which would easily be above 28 mil and probably include Nani). But I don't see Man U paying that amount for Modric... However, I believe that Palacios is actually an 'untouchable' as well as Lennon. The rest? I think most will stay while the deadwood will leave.
