Stadium info

Is it me, or have the news feeds surrounding the proposed new stadium gone quiet?

Is funding in place? Has our owner (Joe Lewis) decided against the plan after reportedly losing near on a billion Dollars during this crisis?

The last we heard on the subject was that the architects were preparing the interior of the stadium bowl.

That should have been finished by now, so if anyone has any further news, please do tell.

  1. it will probably be quite on the stadium at least until the end of the month, they will have seven or more designs for the interior. I am looking forward to seing them.
  2. My company's done some of the visuals for it so far and I think we may be getting more work in from the architects shortly..... fingers crossed
  3. My company is doing some work around the stadium as part of the project and, AFAIK it is all going ahead, but I haven't heard much in a while. I think it is all politics with Haringey at the mo.
  4. What makes you an expert on the timescales of stadium design? Who says the interior has to be finished by now? They haven't even got planning consent for the project yet.
  5. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will this stadium be.

    There is a long way to go yet!

    ENIC are focussed on this project as resale value will come close to doubling.

    Im guessing all the lack of transfer gossip has made us turn to other things - a bit like that idiot commenting on HH's post yesterday about African and English authorities getting ready to jump on 'Arry and Bond.
  6. Finances are not in place... it seems that they know how they want to finance it though. Joe Lewis lost his dough over a year ago... the plans were released in 2009.

    Things are quiet because they're looking to secure a sponsor, which will be part of the financing arrangement, and waiting for planning permission, which will take many, many months.
  7. Joe Lewis lost a fraction of wealth in the Bear Sterns meltdown but is an extremely well-off man.

  10. Building projects take time to plan and prepare...for this scale project you must be an idiot to think its gona happen so soon, and until all aspects are finalised, they are'nt going to release proposals to the general public. Chill out and just wait!!!
