Please NOOOOOO crouch, what on earth is wrong with Huntelaar ? If we havent made a bid for him then why not ? He is a quality player who would attract alot of interest in Spurs, raising the profile, we need big players in the team if we want to attract other big signing, at present it seems like harry is missing pompey and wants to buy all that he liked about his, then, team, but we are not pompey, we are a MUCH BIGGER club than that and i think someone needs to kick harry up the ass and let him know, the fans expect more, we want Huntelaar, PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I can confirm that we are in negotiations to sign Young from Villa. The deal is very complicated as we have been knocked back by Villa on 3 occasions.

Harry needs to raise £20 million and that is the issue. Young will go on strike if he can't join us.

totaly agree with the comment above...crouch suits sh*t style of football...the long ball!!the football that losers play i hope that they could sqeek the odd goal!! It's pretty difficult to look at last season and say which of our strikers performed. Pav, Keane and Defoe didn't feature in Europe, Keane was cup-tied for the domestic cups, Defoe was out injured for months. The only constant factor was Darren Bent who, despite only making 21 starts in all competitions bagged an impressive 17 goals. That's not bad going when you consider it. We seem desperate to offload him though, along with our second top scorer Pav, who currently is the only option to add any height to our diminutive attacking options. Obviously Crouch would change all that but he's by no means prolific, 12 to 15 goals a season at most. You would hope that when teaming up with Defoe the assists would bolster his tally tremendously, a partnership already successfully proven. If Crouch came in then Pav can go, but why the hurry to et rid of Bent? If statistcs are anything to go by then Robbie Keane, with what could only be described as an appalling season shared betw…

Because you have to ask yourself; why would Villa sell their best player to their direct competition???

Crouch would be a good signing. He's got very good feet for a big man. And player love playing alongside him cos he shields the ball well, and allows players get up and support him. I can see Modric, Lennon and Keane/Defoe having great success with him in the squad.

As for Pav, dont mind if he stays or goes really. I would prefer to see us get Negredo but if he stays i'm sure he'll be alright.

Hello - this is Harry. I can say that because none of you are going to believe it anyway! Huntelaar doesn't want to be part of a rotation system when there's no European games to add to the mix - he's waiting to see if anyone bigger that Stuttgart come in for him.

Young wants to come but I don't think it's going to happen as he's a massive player for them and we're not throwing silly money at them. We're playing a waiting game on that one.

Crouchy would be teriffic and is sensibly priced. I know he can work with JD and I'm looking for a target man to give us another option.

I apologise, Bent actually made 28 starts including all the cups. 17 goals is still a pretty nifty return...

I've read from several reliable ITKs that A.Young is our no 1 target. Not sure if we can get him, but he's very upset at the lack of ambition after they sold Barry. Villa already have Downing now and i'm sure they would want one of our players in return. Lots of names have been mentioned, most recently Jenas. I've heard £18m plus Jenas, but that seems ott for Young. Mostly speculation at the moment, but Young is defo our no 1 target.

All this doom and gloom against crouch is a bit harsh. He doesnt automatically mean long ball tactics. We have missed having a big front man- berbatov did that job and held the ball up. we need someone to do that and crouch would be good. In a world cup year he will be really up for it and i think the perfect foil for JD.

As for Keane, or PSB i think if we get a good offer, sell. Harry has tied his own hands by making him captain when it should have blatantly been Woodgate IMHO. We all know JD and RK doesnt work and we dont want to risk making JD unhappy again.

Oh to be a spurs fan. and whoever said about the no left winger since Ginola- this is pretty much true. We have lacked balance and shape for a long long time. Davids and Modric fill in there but its a round peg situ.
