Wisla Krakow 1 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur : Match Analysis
Article by Claire Watkiss
Spurs, 2-1 up from the first leg at White Hart Lane, needed to show that they were stronger mentally after losing to Portsmouth on Sunday.
Ramos once again changed the side, bringing in loanee Fraizer Campbell and Welsh International, Chris Gunter, in for Pavlyuchenko and Corluka who were both cup-tied.
Just when is this team going to "gel"? I completely understand in giving Ramos time, but watching this hopeless Spurs side is doing my head in!
There are just no goals in this side, no spirit, and definitely, there's no one willing to pull this side up by the scruff of the neck.
Not much to report on other than Krakow's defender scored an own-goal to make it 0-1 to us. On 82 minutes, both King & Woodgate were caught having a mother's meeting, which allowed Krakow to score.
Staying in the UEFA Cup is only delaying the inevitable. God help us in the group stages!
We play Hull on Sunday. They are a far better team than Krakow. I'll be at the Lane on Sunday, cheering on our side. It does beg the question though; will the players be cheering each other on?
Spurs Line up: Gomes, Gunter, King (C), Woodgate, Bale, Lennon (Dawson, 87), Modric (Huddlestone, 76), Jenas, Zokora, Campbell (O'Hara, 67), Bent.

YOUR ARTICLE BACK IN JULY - I WAS THE PERSON WHO MADE THE COMMENT ABOUT BENT AFTER ALL THE PRE SEASON HYPE YOU SHOT ME DOWN TIME AFTER TIME YOU SEEM TO HAVE BACKTRACKED A LITTLE
Spurs totally dominated this match, from start to finish. Darren Bent scored 4 goals, Dos Santos played really well, Modric looks world-class, and Dimitar Berbatov looked like a man that was there in body, but not in spirit as he sat the entire game out.
Tottenham played with a lone striker, and Ramos made sure that the midfield was packed and fully able to support the lone front man.
We received a comment stating that Darren Bent played superbly because it was against Championship opposition. I disagree with that remark. Ramos played the game to Bent's advantage, and this brought the best out of our £16 million man.
Maybe the fact that Bent knows that Keane has left, and Berbatov is on his way, has helped his psychology? He attested to that fact in the post match intervie…
The thing is, I'm not Claire, but I did post the article you so kindly rekindled.
I don't blame Bent, or any other Spurs striker.
I was with Claire when she wrote that after-match article and we both agreed that the problem is the entire team in general. Do I still believe that Bent can score a bundle of goals in a Spurs team playing in the Premier League? Yes I do. Do I believe that he can score goals in the current side that finds itself in dire straights? No way.
Claire, if you read this, add your comments too.
PS. I've never seen Claire so upset :-)

I mean, King said that all the players are happy and the side needs more time in the post-match interview.
Does he think we were born yesterday? Just because most of them earn 40,000 more than the most of us per week, doesn't automatically mean that we're stupid.
Something is very clearly not right.
