Any new signings?
Article by Jesse Johnstone
Spurs are known for late plunges into the transfer market just before the window closes, so will there be any late surprises this time round?
It's known that Martin Jol has asked for another centre back and a left winger. Curtis Davies looks to be on his way to Villa, which I find strange as he's said he would only sign for a London club as he misses the capital.
Martin Jol is a keen admirer of Blackburn's winger, Pedersen, but Mark Hughes has rebuffed all attempts by Spurs.
I hate to bring this up again, but could the lack of any new faces mean the end of Martin Jol? If a new manager is lined up to take over at the end of the season, surely he would want his own players and not his predecessors.
Watch this space for West Brom's centre back, Curtis Davies, Blackburn's left wing king, Morten Gamst Pedersen, Pompey's Matthew Taylor and the departures of Defoe, to either Manchester United, Portsmouth, Aston Villa or Chelsea, with Murphy going to either Derby, Sunderland, Birmingham or Fulham and Ghaly probably going to Middlebrough.

I dont know who will come in if Jol is sacked, but i am sure that he'll want his own players in and not players signed by Jol.
He's been such a flop
He's rubbish. The thing is, no one will take him off our hands.
Then they can bring in another manager and allow him to bring in players during the next window.
I hope Jenas doesn't either, but you don't get what you wish for unfortunately.
I actually think that he's a better player than Bent. All he needs is the chance to show Jol what he can do.
Defoe, please don't leave!
Regards
Murphy won't go to Sunderland, Roy Keane has rebuffed his 20k pw wage demands. I keep my fingers crossed he's going somewhere, preferably by midnight tomorrow.
Posh, are you editing an article that says Defoe to stay? Seems likely. We just gave Crewe a backup striker til Jan in Barnard. Who would be our 4th striker? Pekhart? Are we signing someone?
If we are after Davies, that would be nice, despite seemingly off to Villa. I'm praying the Ledley's career over rumours from last season aren't true, but no smoke without fire (or repeated injuries) it would seem. Will he ever come back is the question. Can't rely on him at the moment, hence the need for a back-up.
And Pedersen again? That must by why Mark Hughes is sniffing round the mighty Tom Hudd. We should not sell, or swap him for Ped. However I would have gone for Defoe for SWP even if it does se…

Can anyone explain this to me please?
I also couldn't understand why we signed Bent when it was clear he wouldn't get a game with Keano and Berbatov in the side.
Anyone care to explain why our amazing manager is always after players that we've already got an abundance of?
I said "You" as in the collective you...
I'd stick the kettle on again if I were you. I think Jaymes wants a cup of tea... :-)
And I didn't for one minute expect you to reveal someone elses "scoop" before you (that would be the collective "you") post it. Just predicting the content of said future article. As long as he doesn't end up doing a Sol, that's the only thing I'm concerned about.
You are suggesting we boo JJ everytime he steps on the pitch or to stop buying merchandice until he leaves?
