Rumours Of A Takeover
By Jaymes Payten-Marsh
For THBN
Reports of a takeover are currently circulating around the business world. With Tottenham Hotspur’s share price jumping from 29.60 to 34.00 within a matter of hours, reports are rife that Daniel Levy has received an offer and rejected it for the majority shares owned by ENIC from an unknown source.
Other sources claim that an offer was made for the shares owned by Sam Hamman & Alan Sugar. Combined, those shares equal 14.7% of the overall holding of the club.
Some forums are even claiming that they have heard the rumour that former Manchester United major shareholders JP McManus and John Magnier are interested in owning the majority shares in Tottenham.
The Premiership has become the place to own shares as a football club can become a very profitable enterprise if run correctly and so this has attracted various business men into the world of football.
I think that if we are going to be taken over, be it now, or in the future, at least let Spurs be owned by some billionaire like Roman Abramovich. If we are going to be taken over by someone like Levy again, they may as well forget the whole thing as life under Levy’s leadership looks as though the good times at Spurs are not that far away.

F*cking Dwarfs.
I really would prefer it if Levy was still at the helm, with him doing the business and MJ as manager I feel we are moving forward.
Some despotic Papua New Guinea dictator/gun -runner would suffice!
cranky
(Micky Hazards love child)
Would I prefer someone like Abramovich as boss rather than Levy?
The answer to that is yes. If we can afford to spend big in order to get into the CL & maybe win the league, then why not.
I don't have much info on Lewis. Some have told me that he is a billionaire living somewhere in the tropics. He apparently owns a large chunk of ENIC and is a manic Spurs fan.
Can anyone clarify this?
This is a Spurs debate site and can do without you assholes from ggnet.
On the takeover,I trust Levy will do whats best for THFC.
I believe Lewis is a spurs fan, and he has a personal fortune of several 100 million, and lives in Burmuda.
I certainly would not want anyone with the priciples of abramavich anywhere near spurs.
As for a stinking rich (Abromovich type) owner - stick it, as another chap said, I want to earn a spot in the CL, not buy it!
His son Charlie is a lifelong Liverpool fan!!!!!!! I dont think he is particularly involved with ENIC at this time. Levy has taken the helm.
Daniel Levy has always supported Spurs and is doing a first rate job of pushing us in the right direction. We should all get behind him.
