Atouba & His Bag Of Useless Tricks
By PoshSpur
For THBN
Atouba has actually gone on record and said the following:
"One of my problems was that I had no proper cover.
"I am at my best when I play on the left side of defence and push up field in support of my team's attack.
"But whenever I moved up field to apply pressure, I had to run back against straight away.
"You can't keep that up for 90 minutes but I am convinced that things will go much better at Hamburg.
"My transfer has taken a long time to go through but I am glad it is now all sorted out."
Is he being serious? I won't even comment on this.
I will say that I always thought the guy was a complete muppett, and he's justified that.
I still can't believe we found a club that was actually prepared to take him off our hands....and for a profit!

They don't have a replacement lined up, so why else sell their captain?
It's great to see Arsenal fans panic!
and what the fuck has happened to our kits for this season.
RE: Arse'n'all and them selling all their players, have you seen now they are offering Judas as bait to Newcastle to try and lure Jenas into their dirty mits. They are so obviously in financial dire straits as last season they STOPPED all their players swapping shirts as some of them were doing it every match.
Come on, how much does a shirt cost in comparison to the wage bill?
A new younger, improved quality team cant be built in one close season, so its only now that these short term players shipped in can be shipped out again.
Not only that, we are actually making a profit from the deadwood and not just dishing out free's.
Atouba I was prepared to give the benefit of the doubt to - but now he's fired this parting shot - he can go f*ck himself, who does he think he is, and how blind can someone be to their own falings - that they blame the team around them. Good riddance.
As for playing in the InterToTo - I'm sorry but I think Spurs Management were right not to do this - playing the InterToTo which is competitive (which the Peace Cup isn't) would be such a drain on us and I think we need to remained focussed on the domestics for now and not tire out the squad on a European adventure that could end up fruitless and doesn't generate that much in the way of revenue and reputation / exposure. In response to the last comment - if we play a weaker team - we're likely to get beat then - what the hell is the point in entering in the first place?
Arsenal selling Vieira is definitely not a step in the right direction - however I feel they'll rise to the challenge (unfortun…
In fact, I've been going through the 2004/2005 results and fielded teams, I haven't compiled detailed statistics, but you will notice that one of our worst months (November) Atouba hardly played, and the following month (December) was one of our best where he did.
I totally agree with Atouba's comments, he really used to drive us forward from the back - without him the primary route from defenders to attackers were ineffective long-balls.
Look how few goals we scored towards the end of the season where we "lacked creativity"... afraid to say that he actually had some and I'm sad to see him leave. I know some of you don't agree, but go back to stats and take a look at it objectivel…
Answer... future revenue from merchandise sales in Korea and very lucrative it is too.
So who's in your worst Spurs 11?
How about this for a bit of fun:
GK - Mark Kendal
LB - Timothe Atouba
CH - Wiilie Young
CH - Stuart Nethercote
RB - Ben Thatcher
Mid- Jason Dozell
Mid- John Pratt
Mid- Jason Cundy
Mid- Toda
Stk- Colin Lee
Stk- Ian Moores
As for Atouba, I'll always support a player in the Lilywhite shirt, but I'll be glad to be rid of the tactic of Robinson hoofing it long to bounce it off his head and straight to the opposition.
Apart from that his final ball was bollox - ridiculously hopeful crosses from the halfway line or direct passes to the opposition - which is probably why he had to run back and defend all the time....
Atouba is living in cuckoo land, he was shit.Fair play to MJ who gave him every chance to prove himself.
Glad to see gooners crapping themselves over finances.
Trouble up at manwho is very satisfying, hate that gary neville prick and old man keane @ co.
Sourness can shove JJ up his arse if he thinks he"s worth over £12M.
The supprise headline for me was the Israeli Bernouyn(sp)saying he would like to go to westspam,he looks a decent player and for 2.5M would be a good aquisition. He was probably a fan of his fellow countryman Berkavic.
The match against Newcastle summed him up Dyer made him look like a Under 11 player.
TWAT!!
As for the scum, get that judas fuck as far north as possible.Scotland if you like, anywhere as long as its fucking miles and miles from London.Washed up two bob money grabbing bent tosser.
With regard to Vierra, I think the tossers hae let him go because they had the best out of him and couldn't turn down 11 Million, the fact that they are using Judas as bait for jenas shows that e have a better man in Ledders than judas scum.
But I do think that JJ at 22 is worth putting a lot of money into, he worked well with carrick in the USA, he is well suited to the Prem league, he has European experience from last year, and this type of player is hard to come by. Plus his value will only increase... use Keane as bait, Newcastle need a Striker.... 7 million... Chelski money plus Keane I think it's a bargain.
With regard to the inter two bob trophy, I think we should concentrate on fourth place in the league, Liverpool are going to go through a transition like we did last year so many new faces, plus a long season qual…
i'm personally glad that he's gone and although edam is a reliable left bak i still think we need to fill that place with a young quality plater like wayne bridge
Have to laugh at the Gooner problems. Rats leaving a sinking ship comes to mind. I hope the ones who stay (on half pay) will feel at home in their new 'Al Queda' stadium.
Did you hear Osama bin laden was found @ old trafford when asked what he was doing there he answered it feels like the caves back home Cold Damp & Empty & over run with Yanks
I am sure that Hamburg fans will feel the same way as we do.
Viva Pedro Mendes
Sol Campbell's old dear has AIDS.....bad AIDS
he's shit hot an if we can do them tarts in the transfer market and then twice in the league, happy days r here again!
vieira's influence has now gone, wenger has no one suckin his left testy, an henry will soon get bored of havin to talk english in the dressin room!
c'mon u yids!!
Atouba? = absolute shit.
btw..a lot of you are ignoring the fact that we"ve signed Staltieri.(sp)
Re.: Viera, let's be honest - only reason the Scum have sold him is coz he wants to go. GGGGRRReat news as he is such a pivotal figure for them, no matter how much money they get for him he won't be easy to replace!
Atouba.. good luck to him! Hopefully then we'll be able to give young Ziegler more opportunities this coming season!!
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!!
Are we serious about getting Lee from PSV? Does he play on the left?
Jus watched the match. Surprised by the starting line up - no right midfield. Played alright , nice goals, routledge looked a bit light when he came on. Tainio looks like he could be a decent buy. Would lked to of seen lennon too. what did anyone else think?
Bunje, again starting on left back is a worrying trend. Has he taken over from Edman??
Marney on right back could only mean that Kelly and Pamarot are bith injured or unfit.
So 3 more weeks to get our full backs sorted.
Also, Tainio was on right midfield. Why wasnt Routledge given a start?
To me this match has posed more questions than answers.
It is almost like selling another Atouba.
i liked him a lot and was better at left half i thought or even striker in the mold of fash the bash, his strike at Newcastle was supurb, i will miss and wish him all the best for the future.
YIDS
kelly dawson king (c) edman
