Tottenham Hotspur are once again in the hunt for Norwich striker Dean Ashton.

Ashton was watched many times by former Director of Football, Frank Arnesen, whilst he was playing for Championship side Crew.

Crew wanted £2.5 million for the under-21 England international, and with Arnesen viewing that amount as a lot for the striker, Tottenham went with Mido instead.

Dean Ashton went on to sign for Norwich and had a terrific season, nearly keeping the East-Anglian side in the Premiership.

With Arnesen now gone to Chelsea, Martin Jol, Tottenham's head coach, is keen on brining in another striker. This has posed the question on which Spurs striker or strikers are set to leave the club?

With already Defoe, Mido, Kanoute and Keane in the striking department, one of them will have to leave before another striker is brought into the club. Kanoute is being linked with several teams in the Frech league, while Keane is attracting interest from Everton.
