Proof Reporters (and Some Fans) Are Clueless About Success at Tottenham Hotspur

The pre-Liverpool press conference gave proof that reporters haven't a clue |
Big Ange Exposes Clueless Reporters and Toxic Fans
When you listen to Tottenham Hotspur’s press conferences these days...
You’re not just witnessing journalism...
You’re witnessing the complete misunderstanding of how success is actually built.
It’s painful to watch...
Well, for winning mentalities, it is anyway.
It’s almost laughable...
If it wasn’t so damaging to the mentality needed...
To build something special.
Reporters Are Stuck in a Child’s Version of Success
Get the reference to a previous article!
Listen to Ange Postecoglou in the Liverpool v Spurs embargo interview.
He’s battling not results...
He’s battling mentality ignorance.
You'd think they'd realise that foundations come before fireworks.
They don't.
They sit there...
Serious faces on...
Asking him if "things have gone disastrously wrong."
Yes...
Ange admits...
Some of it has.
Because that’s what real building looks like.
Nobody builds a dynasty by winning immediately.
You pound the rock, as Ange explained.
You strike it a hundred times...
Nothing.
On the 101st blow...
It cracks.
Shall I remind you of Thomas Edison...
10,000 attempts to create the light bulb!
But these reporters?
They stare at the first 20 blows and scream:
"Disaster! Disaster!
Sack him!
Buy someone!
Panic!"
They’re kids at heart.
No patience.
No idea about long-term building.
No concept of mentality.
Ange is reiterating my constant message.
Some Fans Are Just As Bad — Maybe Worse
And then there’s the toxic fan element...
The ones who think just like these reporters...
Who create a warzone of negativity.
They watch losses...
And declare the whole project dead.
Yet we are in our second major European semi-final under Daniel Levy.
They ignore injuries.
They ignore the youngest squad in years.
They ignore the broken culture that needed rebuilding from scratch.
They think "support" means "screaming abuse" at staff...
Players...
Managers...
Owners...
Anyone who doesn't have their incessant negativity towards Tottenham Hotspur.
They mistake "having standards" for "having tantrums."
They don’t want success built the hard way.
They want it gift-wrapped.
And if it’s not gift-wrapped?
They turn on the very people trying to build it.
And the understanding fans who see the building.
These fans are no different from the clueless reporters:
Both are obsessed with instant gratification...
Both are blind to what true winners endure...
Both will probably be the first to pretend they "always believed" when the success finally comes.
Because it will.
Ange Is Fighting For More Than Points — He’s Fighting For Tottenham Hotspur’s Soul
Listen carefully to Ange Postecoglou’s words:
"I'm trying to change the perception of the club."
Not just the football.
Not just the standings.
The perception.
Because Tottenham Hotspur has been trapped in a cycle for years...
The cycle of panic.
The cycle of fan entitlement.
The cycle of pretending that winning is some sort of divine right...
Not something that must be earned through pain.
Ange gets it.
Winning mentalities get it.
But too many so-called journalists...
And too many toxic "fans"...
Still don’t have a clue.
THBN The Final Thought: Pounding the Rock
Real winning...
Real transformation...
Doesn't look pretty.
It looks like confusion...
Frustration...
Failure...
And relentless persistence.
You don't pound the rock once and expect it to shatter.
You pound it...
Again and again...
Until the cracks finally show.
Ange understands that.
Winning mentalities understand that.
Maybe it's time the reporters...
And the toxic fans...
Learnt it too.

Where did it get you in your career?
Where did your coaching get you? I know the answer to both of these questions by the way. What you have is an inferiority complex to Daniel Levy, you believe as a smart businessman his plan will eventually work. You’re right, but not in the way you’re thinking. His plan is working, see last night’s boxing for example. That was the plan, that’s his success. Buy a company, use its money to build massive infrastructure, make the books look great by slashing the wage bill and ready it for a multibillion sale. Hopefully we are close to that day
