Bergvall or Gray to replace Bissouma
The need for summer changes is becoming clear
We played with no midfield today.
I said we should not buy Yves Bissouma.
I said he was a selfish player.
I said he was not a defensive midfielder.
I said he was not worth £25 million.
I said he had the wrong mentality.
He snorts Nitrous Oxide.
That is not a winning mentality, it's a losing mentality.
Jamie Redknapp showed you on Sky Sports the problem that is Yves Bissouma.
He lost the ball on the halfway line when he shouldn't have.
He slowly jogged back before diving in to give away a penalty.
The jogging back shows you he has the wrong mentality.
He gave the ball away early against Brentford resulting in a shot for them.
He gave the ball away against Wolves last season and I did a whole post on why he has the wrong mentality.
There was an incident in the first half when Chelsea attacked.
It was two vs two. A third Chelsea player sprinted forward to make it 3 vs 2.
Yves Bissouma simply jogged back.
Right, that's the preliminaries out the way.
I think he is a player who is fed up.
A player who can't be bothered.
He is fed up of defending under pressure with Sarr caught upfield.
A player who cares sprints back.
He MUST be replaced in the summer if nobody is available in January.
I don't care if Lucas Bergvall is ready or not, either he or Archie Gray has to play in the Premier League as a number six from now on.
They need to learn and gain experience.
Yves Bissouma should be the last choice number six.
Radu Dragusin does his best but isn't, in my opinion, good enough for this level.
Pedro Porro should be sold while he has a transfer value.
Fraser Forster is showing he is a decent number two and helps our homegrown quota as well as association trained for European football.
League Cup and Europa League should be the primary aims until a summer reshuffle and that may mean playing Djed Spence in the Premier League to give Pedro Porro a rest.
