Big Opportunity for Tottenham Hotspur to Climb the Premier League Table

Spurs v Ipswich Town

Spurs took advantage of dropped points by Chelsea, Man City, Brighton and Arsenal to climb to within two points of the top four.

Spurs need to stay one or two points away from the top four, if we are not in it, all season so next weeks game against Ipswich Town at home will be an important one for supporters.

Premier League Table

PL Table

Premier League Week 11 Fixtures

  • Liverpool v Aston Villa
  • Brighton v Manchester City
  • Nottingham Forest v Newcastle United
  • Chelsea v Arsenal
  • Tottenham Hotspur v Ipswich Town
  • Brentford v Bournemouth
  • Man United v Leicester City
  • West Ham United v Everton
  • Crystal Palace v Fulham
  • Wolves v Southampton

Just look at those top 5 fixtures, everybody in the top 10 is playing each other except Tottenham so some sides are going to drop points.

Three points for us are essential.

Liverpool vs. Aston Villa - both sides are above Spurs in the table. A point to note though, apart from Arsenal, Aston Villa haven't really played any big games yet and have this game and Chelsea coming up.

Brighton vs. Manchester City - Brighton are level on points with us, City have injuries and have just been beaten by Bournemouth away from home.

Nottingham Forest vs. Newcastle United - an interesting game with Forest surprisingly in third and Newcastle down in tenth.

Chelsea vs. Arsenal - Both are above us. Chelsea are improving but they weren't great drawing against a struggling Manchester United, while Arsenal lost to Newcastle.

If Liverpool win, then we have a chance of going above Aton Villa in the EPL table.

If Newcastle can beat Nottingham Forest and if Chelsea and Arsenal play out a draw, Tottenham would move into third with a victory over Ipswich Town.

A win guarantees we move one place up the table at least.

It will be a good international break for us then, allowing time for a few players to get some injuries seen to without missing any club games.
