Dominic Solanke

Ange Postecoglou believes Dominic Solanke has all the attributes he wants in a centre-forward and thus Spurs have agreed to pay £30m up front, plus another £27m in instalment payments plus £3m of add-ons, totalling £60m.

Tottenham tried to sign Connor Gallagher to ease the homegrown situation but when that became impossible, switched to Dominic Solake to fulfil that requirement.

This is not a player thrust on Postecoglou, but one he is very happy and was the homegrown contingency route.

That affects who else we can but and the payment structure affects how payment for other deals have to be structured.

Like I say, pieces of a jigsaw that all have to fit together.

I look forward to Mr Solanke proving me wrong and thriving in a Spurs shirt.

Tottenham started seriously looking at Solanke and the other man targets 2 months ago and have been working on the deals ever since.

If you have read my previous few pieces, as I know many of you have, you'll know most deals take time and even late deals in a window have had a stack of background work already thrashed out.

Availabilities are known, willingness to join are know, circumstances of joining are known, details of the project and their role within it are known to the player, rough wages are known, it's time constraint forcing the issue.

Tottenham will now test the waters for Eberechi Eze.

Bloody Levy, apart from Van de Ven, Maddison, Johnson, Udogie, Romero, Dragusin, Richarlison, Kulu, Bentancur, Bergvall, Porro, Vicario, and Bissouma, who's he bought recently?
