Nah, let's go back to 1975 when we were managed by ex-Gooner boss Terry Neil.

That will bring back memories for many of you, the late 70's an era of violence and cages or fencing in grounds to keep the two animals at bay and, of course, proper football with something called tackling allowed, not this fairy game we have today.

Oh well, guess I best drag myself back to today with news that Yves Bissouma has been fined and suspended for Monday night against Leicester City.

Not much of a punishment, not much of a deterrent either, sends the wrong message to the youngsters to me, same as only banning someone for 2 years for drugs, should be 7 or more.

The Dutch beachball player who repeatedly raped a British girl was only in jail for a year and competed at the Olympics before moving onto a European tournament.

He hasn't been punished at all really simply because he has a talent, it's hardly justice for the poor victim who has to live with that for the rest of her life, but that's better than the 180 hours of community service we dished out to someone over here, probably because of the race.

Tangents, tangents, let's get back on track.

Transfer Talk

Sergio Reguilón

José Mourinho managed Turkish side Fenerbahçe will try to sign 27-year-old Spanish international (6 caps) left-back Sergio Reguilón who is available for €12m.

Galatasaray are also still considering him, although it would require them to sell two foreign players first so sounds unlikely, as are sides in Spain.

Jamie Donley

Jamie Donley has signed a new 4-year deal with Tottenham and he will be loaned out to the Gaughan Group Stadium at Brisbane Road, home of League One side Leyton Orient.

The fellow Londoners finished a comfortable 11th last season. Hopefully, Donley will get plenty of game time under manager Richie Wellens.

Vitor Roque

Barcelona need to sell to sign Dani Olmo, yes all clubs have to run as a business and have a handle on wages as well as making squad space for incoming players and raising money.

They have spoken to Sergio Reguilón's agent so he knows under what circumstances they will sign him and have offered Tottenham 19-year-old centre-forward Vitor Roque.

Tottenham have spoken to the Brazilian internationals (1 cap) agent a month ago but have not pursued anything as far as I'm aware.

Spurs were quoted €40m, which has now dropped to €30m and Everton have had a €25.7m bid rejected.

His wages are €67,308 per week (£57, 530). The player would need to be convinced as he can play on the wing, but wants to play as a centre-forward.

This could happen if Barcelona turned their very real interest in Reguilón into a serious approach to buy him.

Raphinha

Raphinha would be our choice but Barcelona want a ridiculous 80m for him, Spurs offered 60 and were turned down.

Oh by the way, the story from Matt Law I think it was about Bournemouth being unhappy Spurs have left it late is just complete speculation on his part and a total lack of understanding about football and running a business.

Bournemouth knew of interest and obviously had done their homework on replacements, as clubs do all year round anyway.

They have agreed a €40m deal for a striker who was offered to us, Brazilian striker Evanilson from Porto, whose camp we obviously talked to, but chose Solanke instead.

Brahim Díaz

Tottenham are watching the situation of Real Madrid attacking midfielder Brahim Díaz and are in regular contact with his agent.

There is a possibility he could become surplus to requirements at the Spanish giants in which case Spurs would hope to conclude a cut price deal.

We are being kept informed of the Eze situation and thus can wait to see what opportunities present themselves, always able to fall back on the onerous terms of his release clause if desired.

Like many players at big clubs, Díaz does not want to leave, that doesn't mean he won't of course.
