Tottenham have been restructuring their football operation, as are PSG and are casting their eye over Andrea Berta of Atletico Madrid.

The 51-year-old Italian has been at the LaLiga club for a decade now. Berta was technical director for four years at Atleti when they appeared in two UEFA Champions League finals, before being promoted to Sporting Director in 2017.

Apart from Tottenham and PSG, Manchester United and Chelsea are said to be interested.

Luton Town vs Tottenham

Ange Postecoglou will be hoping his Tottenham side score 2 or more goals tomorrow as no manager has managed a side to score at least 2 goals in their first 8 English Premier League (EPL) games in charge.

Spurs have scored at least 2 goals in 6 of our last 8 away Premier League games and there have been at least 3 goals in each of them.

Tottenham have had more attempts on goal in the Premier League this season (138), more than any other side.

Spurs are unbeaten in nine league games against Luton (W5 D4) since a 2-0 away defeat in November 1987, with Ian Allinson scoring a brace for the Hatters.

Luton Town goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski has now gone 10 matches without keeping a clean sheet, 3 of those were for previous club Blackburn Rovers.

Son Heung-min has scored first or last in 8 of the last 11 games in which he has scored a goal.

Transfer Talk

The kast post, in case uoi missed it, was VAR, Scouting, Transfer News, Euro 2028 and a selected recent post for yoy, both opening in a new window, is Daniel Levy runs Spurs properly.

Let's gibe you a third option, which is a discussion of how Tottenham could use the VAR fiasco to our advantage.

Back to today.

Tottenham are looking for players that have perhaps gone under the radar, who are young.

Neither Hugo Lloris nor Fraser Forster are spring chickens and while Josh Keeley looks good for the U-21 side, Spurs will be keeping an eye open for goalkeepers.

Ideally, we will require a homegrown backup keeper but we will still keep an eye on the talent coming through, so our eyes must be on 21-year-old (22 next August) Zion Suzuki of Urawa Reds.

Japanese international goalkeeper, Suzuki, rejected a move to Manchester United in the summer because he wouldn't get much game time and signed for Belgian side Sint-Truiden on loan, who are owned by Japan-based electronic firm DMM.

He is performing outstandingly with a 78.8% save rate.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

The second sample drug test for Juventus midfielder Paul Pagba came back positive and Juventus will now cancel his contract, saving themselves around £26 million (€30m).

The replacement head coach Massimiliano Allegri wants is January is Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and the Dane is seemingly happy to join them and happy to leave Spurs where he is not a first XI starter this season.

The Italians want to keep the cost of any deal gown and will look for low-cost options so Tottenham would need a low-cost replacement of our own in either January or July, depending upon when Højbjerg were to leave.

Previous reports have suggested the Serie A side would be looking for a loan initially with an option to buy while Spurs would want an obligation or outright sale.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juventus have made contact with the representatives of Højbjerg and that they report he is unhappy at Tottenham (not being a starter) and they are pushing Spurs to allow him to leave.

His salary of around £2.6m (€3m) is OK for Juve, given Pogba is on over 3 times that including bonuses. Clubs value Højbjerg lower than we do, but that is common throughout football and is merely a starting point for negotiations.

If a sale can be secured, then it will allow a reshaping of the squad, even if it is only a more suitable skillset replacement.

With a year left on his contract in January, like when we bought him, Højbjerg becomes a cheaper option than his market value with a longer contract.
