Everyone panicking over nothing

Bentacour

Two days to go and two very busy days with all clubs now wanting to get deals done.

It's the way the window works so quit complaining about it.

It makes no difference when a player is signed, there is an international break and an Africa Cup of Nations, there are no Spurs games and haven't been since the Chelsea game.

New players are away so couldn't train with us so there really isn't anything to get ones knickers in a twist over.

The two players we missed out on were simply down to Jorge Mendes and the Fiorentina youngster went back on his word to us and the press, while his agent also earnt himself a very fat check.

Tanguy Ndombele, Dele Alli, Giovanni Lo Celso and Bryan Gil are the men we are looking to move out on loan.

Depends how many we shift out as to how many players we bring in.

They are being moved out to free squad places, not to raise money for purchases as some incorrectly believe.

The fact we are concentrating on bringing in midfielder and a winger demonstrates what Conte and Paratici want is not what our journalists think they want.

Uruguayan international Rodrigo Bentancur is a solid midfielder who is a good dribbler and passer.

At 24 years old (25 in June) Bentancur will cost around £15.8m (€19m - US$21.18m - AUS$30.28m), with £5m (€6m - US$6.69m - AUS$9.56m) and 30% of that fee reportedly going to Bentancur’s former club Boca Juniors.

He is agile with quick feet which helps him when receiving the ball in our half with a marker.

Like many Uruguayans, he is hardworking and reads the game well, letting others make the incisive pass.

His role is to retain possession and give the ball to more creative players, so much as fans hate it, you'll see plenty of switching of play through him.

In his heart he is a defensive minded player, much like the Italians and has a cool head.

He'll be a good player for Oliver Skipp to learn off.

Conte must feel he fills a need and that he can improve him as a player.

Dejan Kulusevski has been on our radar since before Paratici arrived but links have gathered pace since his arrival last summer.

Provisional talk between the three sides had already taken place last year and a deal is now trying to be pushed through with Juventus having to raise cash and lower their wage bill.

He flies to London for a medical, so that will be two signings from a major club in the bag.

An initial loan with option to buy unless we finish in the top 4 in which case the purchase option becomes mandatory.

The fee is roughly £4.16m (€5m - US$5.57m - AUS$7.97m) plus £29.1m (€35m - US$39.01m - AUS$55.78m) purchase option.

Everyone panicking over nothing.
