Conte wants Emotional Intelligence

Conte wants Emotional Intelligence

Antonio-Conte

Time to educate the heathens out there again.

As we all know, mentality is everything.

Harry Kane has proved it...

Dele Alli has proved it...

Tanguy Ndombele has proved it.

If you lose it, you have to get it back quick or you're doomed...

Like David Bentley was.

Antonio Conte has already said the players must improve their emotional intelligence during games.

You all know I believe we should be using sports psychologists as a part of weekly training.

What I want to get across today is the visualisation.

It's a strategy that you can apply when you want to eliminate, correct or model a habit with a better one.

What you should do is very simple, you should 'see' yourself in your minds eye, doing it the way you want to, not the way you do.

It was good enough for Pele, it was good enough for Glenn Hoddle, so its good enough for our squad today, it's good enough for you.

OK, I'll give you the technical reasoning.

Most people care about a loved one more than themselves...

Therefore, the trick is to see yourself as a third party...

Hence the visualisation, which also makes it real for your mind.

It will help stimulate your common sense and willpower.

Increase your willpower and you will increase your results...

That should be obvious to everyone.

It will achieve results and our players could achieve greater results using it.

Like I say, it was good enough for Glenn Hoddle and Pele.

Good morning to all you intelligent people out there, in other words those not talking about Conte walking by the summer.

If you're promoting that you're not a proper Spurs supporter at all, just pretending you are.

That about sums them up.

They don't support Spurs at all, just want to fuel their dumb hatred for probably the best chairman we have had.

Without him we wouldn't be a top club, we probably wouldn't even be in Europe each season, considering where we were, a mid-table broke club unable to afford anybody, with administration looming and thus probably relegation to go with it.

Lighten up people and open your eyes.

Right let's have some Tottenham Transfer Talk and Luis Díaz.

Why can't people use a resemblance of a brain to bring some common sense to things.

We have people now saying Luis Díaz is holding out for Liverpool.

A spot of common sense tells you we wouldn't be in negotiations to sign him if we knew he didn't want to join us, we aren't Arsenal.

Paratici sounds a player out first to see if he would be interested in any proposal we offered and get from his agent ball-park figures of wages, signing-on fee, agents fees and transfer fee.

We are negotiating because we are serious about signing him and there is a chance we could do so.

I believe Liverpool have offered £37.46m (€45m - US$50.15m - AUS$71.28m) plus £12.48m (€15m - US$16.72m - AUS$23.76m) add-ons.

However, I understand we have now had a £39.95m (€48m - US$53.50m - AUS$75.99m) second offer accepted, but are yet to convince the players two representatives to put pen to paper as, unfortunately, Jorge Mendes has now got involved, never good news.

Mendes has become involved because of Porto who brought him in as they are in financial trouble and have to raise money by the end of January otherwise could be facing a European ban.

The news from Portugal is that Mendes is holding up a deal with Spurs to try and negotiate one with Liverpool.

They feeling is he left negotiations, the deal with Spurs would go through smoothly.

The Merseyside club do not currently have a place in their squad for another non-homegrown player.

We'll wait and see how it unfolds.
