Spurs Chat, Kane Encouragement

Spurs Chat, Kane Encouragement

As you all know, I struggle with my eyes at this time of year, the radiators dry them out and ulcers start to form so I have to go to a room to sit myself as far away from them as I can or have an early night, hence why I'm often up at four in the morning.

I was discharged from the Heart Failure Clinic, there is nothing they can do for my dodgy ticker thanks to the permanently low blood pressure.

Chuck in a spot of diabetes, atrial fibrillation and have a heart working at 35% and you can see why I sometimes struggle!

I have problems but I despair of the selfish people on Twitter who anonymously abuse or ridicule others, social media should not be anonymous in my view, everyone should be accountable.

Otherwise you have a generation, on their phone all the time, who only think of themselves and these selfish people are going to be parents themselves so their children have little chance of turning into decent human beings.

An American study quoted by the Washington Post informed us that the results of asking children was that 80% of parents DO NOT teach their children to be kind and isn't something their parents are concerned with.

That is, quite frankly, shocking, but it explains the agenda crowd.

Kind, caring human beings who appreciate hate is not a pretty quality.

It merely detracts from you as a person so at this time of year, a time of goodwill, why not reassess your outlook on life and decide to become a better person.

I grant you it is tiring to have to keep explaining things to people who have an agenda and don't want to see anything in it's proper context, but if they wish to have a go at you simply cut them out of your life rather than engage in tit for tat.

Someone with an agenda is not going to change hat agenda whatever you say, thus leave them to wallow in their own despair and continue to support Spurs in the way all proper fans support Spurs, without conditions.

Tottenham are currently 5th, 2 points off 4th, with a game in hand, have a top quality manager, a top quality Managing Director of Football with a healthy budget to spend and a chairman not now involved in transfers but concentrating on building the business of Tottenham Hotspur that after all pays for the football.

I have seen the lows of relegation, the high's of winning trophies, the rise of Sugar Daddies, UEFA stopping Sugar Daddies, crooks circumventing the rules with inflated 'friend' sponsorship and the Premier League stamping down on that too.

UEFA want a level playing field, they want clubs to sustain themselves through their business and Tottenham are a model of how UEFA want clubs run.

A broke mid-table club, we have been built to challenge the big boys and our income built in a sustainable manner to rival them on spending power.

There is still more building to do but we are in the right hands to do it and, as we all know, whether we admit it or not, the revenue from the stadium, when it kicks in, will make a difference to us in the transfer market.

Those thinking we will not be building a better squad with the money need to let go of their hatred and live in the present reality.

The club is on track, Covid 19 halted progress, but with fans back we are earning again.

That needs to continue to show us compounded benefits in the transfer market.

Right let's get on with a couple of footballing matters today.

Harry Kane

I have been watching Kane closely, particularly his goal celebrations when others score.

He may not be scoring but a watch on Harry Kane suggests he is starting to come around and become more motivated by what is happening at Tottenham.

Previously he would wander over and congratulate them but there was no immediate passion as the moment of Tottenham scoring, now there is.

Take Lucas Moura's goal against Norwich City, Kane gave an immediate clenched fist fist pump with his arm at a right angle.

A definite sign of passion, a turn for the better, a start that suggests his total motivation could return and with it the goal scoring Harry Kane.

Time is a great healer, a cliché but true.

It is my prediction that Kane will be staying at the club, possibly for the remainder of his career.

I can tell you Kane is really excited by the work of new Tottenham boss Antonio Conte.

Signing Conte might just be the key factor in Kane staying, particularly with the new boss and Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici having funds earmarked for recruitment.

I'll confirm once again, as there are still some with an agenda who refuse to believe it, but Daniel Levy is not involved in transfer negotiations and Paratici does not have to go to Levy and ask if this is OK.

Paratici has a budget, a very healthy budget I might add and how he spends it is down to him and Conte.

They have the control, if they didn't, Conte wouldn't be at the club.

The squad, not just Harry Kane are enjoying training with Conte. Ben Davies was the latest player to sing his praises and hasn't he and Eric Dier shut up a few people this season.

Dilan Markanday

Dilan Markanday was named as the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for October, after he scored four goals in four matches for the Tottenham Development team.

“The dream is to play for Tottenham for the next 15 years, playing every game. I know things might not work out and there are going to be ups and downs. But all I can control is the controllables and things will work out for the best.” [via @jonathandveal83]

Since then I hear he is angling for a move away from Tottenham as he wants first team football now so the club needs to be looking to tie him to a contract and loan him out.

Have a great day, I shall for no other reason than I'm a positive Spurs fan seeing the club travel in the right direction.
