Tottenham Talk on Wednesday 4th Aug
Manchester City are stalling non Grealish, incase they can get Kane it seems, they will certainly need some of that cash to afford him.
Chelsea offered Inter €100m (£85.37m - US$118.81m - AUS$160.92m) + Alonso and Kane is the better striker.
There was controve3y over what City have offered. Players plus cash yes, but was that adding up to £100m, the figure that Harry Kane believes he has a gentleman's agreement on or £100m + players as generally reported?
Spurs say the agreement is our valuation being met anyway.
All I would say is if you believe you have a gentleman's agreement at £100m, get it in writing and why would City then offer that amount plus players?
I'm afraid the former looks true which makes the offer rather derisory in my view.
That is why you have the current stand-off, in true movie Western fashion at Spurs.
Chelsea say West Ham want too much for Rice, Chelsea say Sevilla want too much for Koundé and Manchester City say Tottenham want too much for Kane.
Familiar theme, but Daniel Levy is apparently the only one that feels clubs overprice our targets!
Wikipedia tells us that ABC are a Spanish national daily newspaper, the second largest general-interest newspaper in Spain, number one in Madrid, and the oldest newspaper still operating in Madrid.
Jules Koundé
Never say never.
Thus far, Chelsea are refusing to pay the cash only asking price for Jules Koundé.
Neither are they willing to pay the cash Sevilla want, if Kurt Zouma is included in the deal.
Sevilla still want Dávinson Sánchez.
Sevilla had been demanding his €80m (£68.29m - US$95.06m - AUS$128.76m) release clause in a cash only deal and have reportedly reduced this to €60-65m (£51/55m - US$91/77m - AUS$76/104m) now, according to Spanish outlet ABC.
Chelsea offer €35m (£29.88m - US$41.59m - AUS$56.33m) + 27-year-old (today) left-back Emerson Palmieri which Sevilla turned down, they want a centre-back replacement.
Chelsea have subsequently offered Kurt Zouma, but there seems to be a difference in valuation as no deal has been accepted with him included either.
Now while Koundé wants to join Chelsea, the situation is at an impasse and if reports are accurate, Chelsea need to move Zouma out, before they can move Koundé in.
Spurs offer, that Sevilla have accepted, is still on the table.
Paratici talks to Fiorentina about Milenković this week but the Sánchez plus cash for Koundé isn't dead yet.
Jorge Sánchez
Tottenham are said to be tracking 23-year-old (24 in December) Mexican international (15 caps) right-back Jorge Sánchez.Sánchez is at the Olympics with Mexico, who are in one semi-final against Brazil and plays in his home country for América.
Update: Mexico lost to Brazil and will meet Japan (Takehiro Tomiyasu) in the bronze-medal game on 6th Aug.
This must be one from Paratici as it's another bolt out of the blue and his transfermarkt value is only £4.5m (€5.27m - US$6.27m - AUS$8.49m).
Are these bolts from the blue the unheralded gems the Spurs scouting system has struggled to find?
James Maddison
Tottenham have long been admirers of Maddison who has proved himself in the Premier League with Leicester City.
Arsenal have been trying to sign him all summer and now Tottenham have offered Leicester £30m + Harry Winks (€35.15m - US$41.77m - AUS$56.55m).
Where does Maddison want to go, he has already turned down Arsenal but their offer to Leicester is probably better than ours.
Joe Rodon
The word is that Fabio Paratici is not impressed and believes there are better centre-back prospects out there.
That naturally puts the Welshman's future at Tottenham in doubt.
It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that we bring in three new centre-backs and ship three out.
Brighton have been linked with the 23-year-old (24 in October) and incorrectly reported as having offered £25m (€29.30m - US$34.74m - AUS$47.07m).
They have now made a bid and it is £20m (€23.44m - US$27.79m - AUS$37.65m) plus bonuses, which we have flatly turned down.
Manuel Locatelli
Fabio Paratici has a meeting with Sassuolo this week, but the Italian will have to perform some miracles to get Manual Locatelli.
With Juventus getting money in from the sale of Demiral to Atalanta, they are going after Locatelli on loan with an obligation to buy at €35m (£29.88m - US$41.59m - AUS$56.33m).
Three deals all linked together, all had to be negotiated to the satisfaction of buyers, sellers and agents.
Japhet Tanganga
Japhet is a religious lad, as are his family and he listens to their advice.
In a transfer window things can change daily, much of it we are unaware of.
Now a few days ago the position was that Tanganga was not interested in Turkey and wanted to stay at Spurs to fight for a place and we were concerned at the number of injuries he picks up.
Last season he was out from August 22nd until September 28th, some 37 days where he missed 6 games due to thigh muscle strain.
He then suffered thigh problems until the 25th November and missed a further 10 games.
Tanganga suffered a third injury on December 15th and was out for 11 days until December 26th with a shoulder injury meaning he missed a further 3 games.
He would have been expected to play in the UEFA Europa League but he was injured throughout the group stages basically.
In total the England U-21 international (2 caps) missed 104 days and 19 games.
He is 22 (23 next March) and has only played 1,014 Premier League minutes across 12 matches in his career.
Tanganga needs game time to aid his development so we are assessing the loan options available, Galatasaray are persistent, Celtic are favouring Cameron Carter-Vickers, Southampton are a possibility.
His future may well depend upon what deals Paratici can get done, like experienced 23-year-old (24 in October) Nikola Milenković and 22-year-old (23 in November) Takehiro Tomiyasu, who fills the same role that Tanganga does.
Tanganga (22) 12 PL matches, 1,014 minutes, 0 international caps
Milenković (23) 121 Serie A matches, 10,558 minutes, 28 international caps
Tomiyasu (22) 60 Serie A matches, 5,251 minutes, 23 international caps
You can see that getting experience in England is a problem as points are too important.
