Harry-Winks

Today in Tottenham Transfer Talk 14 June, Tottenham Hotspur Blog News (THBN) takes a look mainly at player sales.

Tottenham Transfer Talk

Tottenham, Roma, AC Milan and Arsenal have all been following Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kökçü.

The 20-year-old (21 in December) Turkish international (6 caps)n central midfielder who is under contract until 2025, has his father as his agent.

Kökçü would cost a minimum of €12m (£10.3m - US$14.53m - AUS$18.86m).

Tottenham Player Sales

Harry Winks is, I believe, one of the players who has been told he can find a new club.

He has been a detrimental figure under Mourinho and may, may, have burnt his bridges at Spurs.

He has been seeing playing golf in Birmingham and house hunting there too, which would suggest a summer move to Aston Villa or Wolverhampton Wanderers.

That would tie in with us searching for a central midfielder or two.

I'm hearing the fee might be £30m (€34.95m - US$42.33m - AUS$54.93m).

It has been no secret that Serge Aurier was going back to PSG.

The Ivory Coast captain moved to France as a child and qualifies as homegrown.

He stated earlier in the season that he wanted to return to PSG this summer and that wish seems to be coming true.

Negotiations have been underway and it is reported a fee of €20m (£17.17m - US$24.21m - AUS$31.42m) has been agreed.

There have been reports in the last couple of days that Aurier has agreed personal terms with PSG so the deal looks close to being finalised.

The sale of Foyth, Aurier and the sale in Portugal of Marcus Edwards (assuming it goes through) will have so far raised £35.16m (€40.96m - US$91.70m - AUS$64.36m) towards incoming transfers.

Add to that the probable sale of Winks (above) and clearing some of the players looks to be going well.

We need sales before we buy to create space in the squad for new arrivals.

It is good to be getting them done early and around £65m (€75.72m - US$49.60m - AUS$118.98m) is a tidy sum if these sales all go through.

Napoli we know are interested in Moussa Sissoko, who doesn't really fit the flowing passing football Fonseca uses.

What fee could the 31-year-old (32 in August) generate? Well, he is under contract until 2023 and Transfermarkt value him at £9m (€10.49m - US$12.70m - AUS$16.48m).

I'd expect therefore, a move abroad for about €15m (£12.87m - US$18.16m - AUS$23.56m).

We'll leave it there for now as we await the imminent arrival of Paulo Fonseca to sign his contract with us and begin work.
