Spurs Transfer Talk

Mikkel-Damsgaard

Mikkel Damsgaard is a player I revealed Tottenham had been scouting for some while now.

It is not unusual to monitor a player over several years and in Damsgaard's case we have kept an eye on him for over a year now.

The 20-year-old (21 in July) Danish international (3 caps, 2 goals) left winger, plies his trade with Sampdoria in Italy.

He is highly regarded and is being monitored by Juventus.

Inter Live reports that Spurs Italian Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, is interested in offering €47m (£40.50m - US$56.91m - AUS$73.98m) to sign both Stefan de Vrij and Marcelo Brozović.

There is only one year remaining on Brozović’s contract, and Nerazzurri managers have shown their interest in selling their 28-year-old (29 in November) defensive midfielder.

The 29-year-old (30 next February) Dutch international (46 caps, 3 goals) centre-back is linked by some while 26-year-old (27 next February) Milan Škriniar is suggested by others, which just goes to show journalists do not know who Paratici is targeting for Tottenham.

Ally Gold has even guessed what Paulo Fonseca's remit is and presented that as fact, when, as the guy isn't even appointed yet, he will not have been told.

Reports in Italy suggest we are once again taking a keen interest in 26-year-old (27 in August) Domenico Berardi.

The Italian international (12 caps, 5 goals, 1 assist) right winger can also play as a second striker or an attacking midfielder and is under contract until 2024.

It is suggested he would command a fee of €35m (£30.15m - US$42.38m - AUS$55.11m).

He starred for Italy in the Euro 2020 opener, a 3-0 victory for Italy over Turkey and and while some are suggesting Paratici has called Berardi, he hasn't, that is a misinterpretation of an article in news outlet Quotidiano.

No doubt there is a lot of guessing in Italy as to who we might sign and 23-year-old (24 next January) Manuel Locatelli is another name thrown at us.

The Sassuolo and Italy (11 caps, 1 goal, 2 assists) right-footed defensive midfielder is under contract until 2023.

The Italian media report that he would rather join Juventus than anyone else after being linked with Manchester City and Arsenal previously.

Tottenham have been scouting 25-year-old (26 next March) Lille left winger Jonathan Bamba.

The right footed former French U-21 player (19 caps, 5 goals, 4 assists), is currently under contract until 2023.

Le10 Sport report that he wants to stay in Europe after a €15m (£12.89m - US$18.19m - AUS$23.62m) bid from an unnamed MLS side.
