Juventus and Tottenham Scouting

Lorenzo-Giani

First team Juventus scouting manager, Lorenzo Giani, will join Fabio Paratici at Tottenham Hotspur claim Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

With the 46-year-olds arrival we could see Juventus and Tottenham being linked with the same players.

The Juventus scouting model played a big part in securing 9 Scudetti in a row and Paratici is now bringing that expertise to London.

Juventus scouting is structured and works in sectors, Gini and four other scouts have been working with Paratici for more than 10 years.

One sector is Undre-20's international football that has it's own dedicated scouting team, a co-ordinator and three scouts.

The Italian leagues are scouted by a co-ordinator and eleven scouts.

Three scouts deal with the loan players and there is a goalkeeper scouting sector too.

At one level, the scouting looks for technical players to maintain the high standards and ability of the first team.

Then there is the U-20 scouting that considers technical ability and economic viability.

Yes, Juventus look at potential and like most clubs these days, how much money they can make on a player.

Next is the U-23 team and scouting for immature players who are not yet ready to make the leap to the first team but have the ability and potential to do so in time.

Will we see a similar scouting model at Tottenham under Paratici?
