Know Your Onions ENIC and Levy

As many of our fans are always crying, I though we'd better talk onions.

Time for more growing fun with your young children.

You can still have fun...

And help them grow into decent and happy human beings...

Even if you are short on cash.

Today we'll use onions (the part you'd normally throw away) for children to see results in a week.

You can do this with all sorts of food scraps...

Carrots, celery, lettuce, beetroot top, herbs, leeks, spring onions...

What you are looking to do, is develop roots...

And the vegetables grow from there.

Teach your children how they grow...

Great if you have a shy child as it gives them a sense of achievement...

Important for their self-esteem...

So it might prevent problems as they grow...

If they are not the most popular child in school.

Have your child keep a vlog and submit it to gardening program producers.

Right, onions.

You'll need a Styrofoam box...

Like those you get from chip shop or Kebab shop.

The deeper the better.

In the lid part...

Draw a circle round a bottle top (about the size of an old glass milk bottle top).

You should fit 6 in the lid.

Cut out the circles.

Next, cut the box into two along the fold.

Cut the bottom of the onion off...

More recycling of food waste.

Place the lid upside down in the base...

And put an onion in each hole, root into the water.

Lift the lid out and fill the base with water.

Put in a sunny place. like a window sill...

Or your greenhouse.

Change the water every two days

Within a week you see roots.

Another great way to teach young children as they see results quickly.

About 7 - 9 days you'll see green shoots growing out the onion.

You can leave it that long so children can watch and record the growth...

In a blog or vlog or YouTube channel.

Or transplant them as soon as you see roots growing.

Try both methods...

Record the difference.

Transplant to well fertilized soil that drains well...

Roots down obviously...

With the green shoots just showing.

Water them.

And don't forget the egg shell or banana skin hacks...

You can plant them underneath to give them nutrients.

OK, onto Spurs.

Gareth Bale

Remember my post of 27 Jan Why Bale Hasn't Sparkled

In that I suggested the problem with Bale was fear.

Fear of his body breaking down and ending his career.

He is worried, anxious, playing with the handbrake on.

Now we know he posted on Instagram the training session went well...

But he missed the Everton game because he wanted a scan.

The scan showed no injury.

There may be a minor injury but doesn't it just highlight the mental turmoil he is going through...

No wonder he wanted to go to China for a massive pay day.

Érik Lamela

Érik Lamela divides opinion.

I have said all along Mourinho loves him and doesn't want to sell him...

While journalists suggest he is for sale...

Simply because they would sell him.

Now you've heard it from Mourinho's own lips at the press pre-game conference.

Lamela once again showed his creative side against Everton...

Like his ball over the top of their defence...

Instead of trying to thread it through...

Plus, of course, he scored.

This season...

304 touches
27 shots
15 shots on target
21 shot creation actions
5 goal creation actions
111 presses
76.6% pass success rate
10/12 dribbles successful
12 tackles
6 interceptions
6 blocks
3 goals

An injury free period please so we can see some of the skill he has, but we must have an end product.

FFP

There is still a massive misconception among some of our fans...

Usually the agenda driven anti-ENIC anti-Levy smattering...

Who refuse to believe the fact that an owner can not give money for players.

Read this BBC piece...

Financial fair play: All you need to know about how it works

It includes...

3. What is covered by FFP?

"Clubs need to balance football-related expenditure - transfers and wages - with television and ticket income, plus revenues raised by their commercial departments."

Clubs must generate transfer funds themselves...

And there are restrictions on how much the wages budget can be increased each season too.

We couldn't just buy 6 stars and pay them big wages...

The Premier League rules set how much wages can increase each season.

Our own fans seen unaware of the rules...

But then these facts prove their opinions to be wrong...

So they are never going to take them on board...

And we'll continue to see their nonsense.
