Spurs Stats vs Chelsea

Hello once again folks and after the Newcastle statistics post, I have decided to produce one after every game this season so here are the Spurs Stats vs Chelsea.

by doing this, you can compare what the stats say to what your eyes say because the stats often tell you what you don't see like Harry Winks passing the ball forward further per touch than any other outfield player, when some suggested he was the worse.

Bottom came, and I was surprised by this, Tanguy Ndombélé.

It can give a new perspective on the game so I'll leave the match reports in general to others to rush out to you, Tottenham Hotspur Blog News (THBN) will be the home of the stats reports.

make sure you return the following day after a game when the dust has settled and check the game from a stats point of view.

There, as per the Newcastle game, will be more stats for Premier League games than cup games, such as the unique passing information I generate myself from official statistics.

Tuesday September 29th
EFL Cup Fourth Round
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 7:45 pm
Officials:
Lee Mason (Referee) · Mark Scholes (AR1) · Tim Wood (AR2) · Andre Marriner (4th)

The surprising stats above is that we had more shots than Chelsea, even though we only had 37% possession of the ball!

That just shows it is what you do with the ball that counts, not how long you keep it, although if you have the ball the opposition can't score (usually).

For all their possession, the goalkeeping stats were the same for both sides.

It is no surprise to Spurs fans that Érik Lamela committed the most fouls for us (5) but he also drew the most fouls (4) together with Tanguy Ndombélé.

Which Spurs player had the most shots vs Chelsea?

Lamela had the most shots for us (3) and the most shots on target (2) (66.7%).

He scored and scored a penalty, he could have done little more given he worked his socks off for the 90 minutes.

There can be no faulting his effort, his commitment and it to him that perhaps Dele should look for inspiration.

Incidentally, Dele is included in the Europa League list submitted for the game on Thursday, as is Sergio Reguilón, with Paulo Gazzaniga left out to accommodate him.

That rather shows how tight spaces are at the moment and that is we sign more non-home association trained players that some will have to leave or simply be left out of squads and unable to play in Europe.

Sergio Reguilón had 2 shots, 1 on target in 90 minutes (50%)
Serge Aurier had 2 shots in 90 minutes (0%)
Gedson Fernandes had 2 shots in 62 minutes (0%)
Harry Kane had 1 shot in 21 minutes (0%)
Steven Bergwijn had 1 shot in 75 minutes (0%)

Total 11 shots, 3 on target (27,3%), 1 goal

Which Spurs player made the most interceptions vs Chelsea?

Sergio Reguilón made 5 interceptions
Moussa Sissoko made 5 interceptions
Eric Dier made 3 interceptions
Toby Alderweireld made 1 interception
Japhet Tanganga made 1 interception

What was Hugo Lloris shot stopping ratio vs Chelsea?

Hugo Lloris had a 66.7% shot stopping ratio, he had 3 shots on target to deal with, stopped 2 and conceded a goal.
