Hugo Lloris and Transfer Talk
4 min read
I despair with our thick fans sometimes.
Twitter is full of kids in their 20's and 30's with podcasts who, quite frankly, know nowt.
Watford are playing a match therefore the media need a transfer story to create interest and get advertising clicks.
Result, a Tottenham and Watford Troy Deeney non-story is promoted as a transfer story and these gullible youngsters actually believe it, wet their knickers and start protesting.
These people are beyond a joke.
It's a good job the birds outside, the frogs, the butterflies, the seafront, the Tour de France, family and sensible Twitter folk overwhelm the part-time supporter.
Hugo Lloris
Hugo Lloris joined Tottenham Hotspur from French Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2012 for an initial sum of €10m with bonuses taking the fee up to €15m.
£9.26m - £13.88m
€10m - €15m
AUS $16.29m - $24.44m
US$11.83m - $17.74m
This Amazon series is showing our fans the players behind the scenes and perhaps starting to appreciate the different mentality top level football requires from their everyday lives.
Hugo Lloris has come across very well and one who has more passion than he fans realize.
This table shows the French World Cup winner to be the best shot stopped in the Premier League.
Ronaldo Vieira
A name you may not have heard of but Spurs have been following and are continuing to follow the progress of 22-year-old (23 next July) Ronaldo Vieira.
Viera is an English central midfielder who was born in Guinea Bissau and is also qualified to play for Portugal.
He moved from Leeds United to Sampdoria in August 2018 for £6.39 million with Leeds having 10% of any sell-on fee.
£6.39m
€6.91m
AUS $11.24m
US$8.17m
He has 3 England U-21 caps scoring 1 goal and is under contract until 2023.
As a result, a story in Italy suggest Spurs informally offered €5 million for Vieira in August, while Sampdoria asked for €10 million.
£4.62m - £9.24m
€5m - €10
AUS $8.13m - $16.26m
US$5.91m - $11.83m
Clearly he is on our radar and he is homegrown qualified.
News this morning of a bid for another striker from Italy who has a goalscoring reputation, Andrea Belotti.
The Torino man was the subject of an initial 1-year loan with an option to buy, apparently at €50 million.
That was rejected by the Serie A side who want a guaranteed sale if they sold the 26-year-old (27 in December) forward.
Belotti has played 28 internationals for Italy and scored 9 goals with 6 assists.
He joined Torino from Palermo in August 2015 and has a contract until June 2022.
In Serie A he has scored 85 goal with a further 18 assists in 213 games, 15,994 minutes (equivalent to 177.7 full games), scoring a goal every 188 minutes.
He has scored a goal or had an assist every 155.28 minutes.
He also has 7 goals in 15 Coppa Italia ties with a further 3 assists and in European qualifying he has scored 6 times in 6 games with a further assist.

As you can see throughout this window we have had a big list of strikers, with some like Habib Diallo happy to join us
AC Milan can't sell a right-back, as I have reported they have received no offers for the two players they have made available so currently, there is no space for him in their squad.
Again,as pointed out previously, it was Serge Aurier himself who asked to leave, not the club or Mourinho trying to sell him.
The maximum bid we have had for Tanguy is, I believe, £26m so no chance of him being sold for those numbers, hence there is really no option but to keep him.
Mourinho's comments are a public endorsement, not the first time he has done that, although previously it didn't work.
We'll see how he handles being a squad player and with Giovani Lo Celso out for perhaps a couple of months, Ndombélé has an opportunity to establish himself.
It is a chance he has to take and that means doing far, far better off the ball.
