Spanish giants Barcelona were looking for a striker in February to cover for an injury to Ousmane Dembélé.
They were hoping for special dispensation and lined up a shortlist of three.
Morón started 55% of games and participated in 25% of his sides goals.
He scored 10 goals and had 2 assists in 2,029 LaLiga minutes over 36 games, which equates to a goal every 203 minutes and a goal or assist every 169 minutes.
The Spaniard can also play on the left wing, he is right-footed and under contract until 2024.
Spanish clubs, like French and Italian clubs are in financial difficulty,Valencia put their whole squad up for sale so €40m buy-out clause Marca say he has in his contract won't be entertained.
These buy-out clauses are set above market value and raised when a player signs a contract extension to prevent them leaving a club cheaply.
Morón was obviously interested in a move to Barcelona but it is unknown whether a move to the Premier League would interest him or whether he prefers to stay in Spain.
He said in an interview with Cuatro:
“I’m aware that Barcelona are interested. Of course, you enjoy that.”
Transfermarkt have him valued at £14.4m and he only signed a contract extension on 30 June which guarantees Betis a fee should he leave.
It is reported that Napoli were interested and suggestions that €25-30m might have been a figure to secure him.
Estadio Deportivo another sports based newspaper (6th highest circulation) suggest that as is not the first choice striker, both he and the club might be happy to part ways, if he feels underappreciated with players like Borja Iglesias signed to play ahead of him.
The reports suggest he would be available for between €18m-20m.
