A rambling Transfer Update We Will Go

A rambling Transfer Update We Will Go

Good morning (if I post this in the morning!) to all you good people as the best people are Tottenham supporters (well some of them).

It is Friday morning as I write this gibberish having decided to go all healthy this morning.

Yeas, you can never be too careful can you, so for breakfast today I had a banana, there you go, health conscious, after the bacon sandwich of course.

OK an update on the six-pack.

I'm thinking it might be time to do another press up, one a week is a good start isn't it.

You thought I'd do one a day, you silly people, come on I need two days recovery period my sports science team tell me.

Don't want to overdo things.

I'll have another fixture against them tomorrow, me vs the press up. Three points for sure.

The gardening hasn't move forwards as I have been writing far too much for you blighters, shall have to adjust that.

The mouse trap, one of the rare delights in the country, caught a mouse yesterday as it was tucking into the chocolate I left out for it and today it's caught a live one that has run under the fridge, where the mouse trap has stopped it going any further.

Said mouse will be returned to the wild and battle will recommence.

UPDATE: He got away so that is 1-1.

Saturday morning another one caught (was it the same one?) - 2-1.

Another three points on the board.

You don't get this scintillating stories on other Spurs blogs do you.

OK, on to the football then guys and gals, yids and yidettes, first tier Spurs supporters, second tier Spurs followers, third tier Spurs moaners, friends, Romans, countrymen, time to lend me your ear (I've lost mine).

I find it amazing that the mass media believe their own bullsit, even though it has been shown to be wrong, this demonstrates their morals, their ethics, their honesty.

As you all know, a fake report was put out to try and get Spurs worried to up the price we were offering for Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

I reported to you how this came about and that it was fake and a short while after the Liverpool Echo wrote a piece totally denying that Everton had made anywhere near a £25m offer.

They also pointed out what you have known for 2 months or more, that he has already told Tottenham he is joining Spurs.

That agreement was reached months and months ago and when he told Southampton he was leaving and they stripped him of the captaincy, I reminded you all again there is only one place he wants to go.

You have ITK and journalists telling you that Ajax have entered the ace, there is no race he is only joining one club.

Then they report Everton, who like Ajax are obviously told straight away he is joining Spurs, but the media make a song and dance, try to create a story where there isn't one, which the gullible lap up and all the useless Twitter accounts announce.

Then we have the fake £25m bid and once again we have the media regurgitation, as per my piece on the way the media work.

So what do I do for you, I give you fees and figures, I give you wages.

What do we have now, we have reports that he only wants to join Spurs.

We have reports of the very transfer fee I have given.

We have ITK reporting the wages I have been quoting with phrases like "I have been told!"

That very phrase cropped up yet again on Thursday on an account that tells you "I have been told" Norwich City want £20m for Max Aarons.

The bloody Norwich City Sporting Director Stuart Webber, made it public knowledge a while back that they couldn't expect to receive more than £20m in the current economic climate!

I have been told... my arse you have.

They were quoting sides £45m in January.

I will always try and steer you guys right and occasionally I give a bit of news in a Private Message, like to Vivin Ireland when I informed him on 22nd June about Steven Bergwijn having a crash on 15th June.

Doubt you read about that anywhere!

How come the ITK folk weren't all over that to prove they were genuine?

They didn't know did they!

Reported Dier was having contract talks before it was known, no problem with Dier contract talks, he'll sign and so it came to pass.

Oliver Skipp will be signing a new contract and going out on loan. Since then José Mourinho has sung his praises and said he'll probably go out on loan, then Skippy signs a new contract.

Reported there was no problem with Tanganga's contract negotiations and now we have ITK telling us there are no problems and he is expected to sign.

Reported last summer and in January about Eberechi Eze and our agreement. We'll have to see how the summer goes for that one but in a depressed market it makes for a sensible buy at a sensible price.

What else do we have, oh yes, Erik Lamela going nowhere while the press all telling you is might be part exchange to bring in Milik who wants to go to Juventus not Tottenham behind Harry Kane.

You already know we are in contract negotiations with Hugo Lloris so you can ignore all talk of replacement goalkeepers for him. He'll be signing the new deal.

Nicolo Zaniolo is linked with us every window, whether we have the money to buy him or not. You can dismiss everything you see, we watch him yes, but he is not on our radar this summer, even though loans are going to be the order of the day this window.

There is too much to list, anyway back to Højbjerg.

Mourinho knows our financial situation very well.

He does not sit down with Daniel Levy and demand players we can't afford. It would be stupid and Mourinho isn't a stupid man.

Every manager understands the financial position of their club and knows what their transfer budget is.

The manager comes up with a list of players that are within the overall budget

he then lets the board get the best in can from that list.

If a player costs more than the club value him at, then that reduces the amount you can spend on another position.

It's a jigsaw, it's a juggling game.

Thus every pound you can save on a transfer is important.

If you can't get one target, say Thomas Meunier, then that jigsaw is no more, you have to compile another jigsaw.

José has drawn up realistic targets and he has worked with some of the top defensive midfielders in his travels.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is not the clubs cheap pick, he is the choice of Mourinho.

He is the player our manager wants. They have both spoken and Højbjerg only wants to come and learn under Mourinho.

OK let's write a comic strip (could look good with graphics)

Højbjerg and Mourinho talk
Mourinho outlines his plans for Højbjerg to Højbjerg
In March Højbjerg tells Mourinho he will join Tottenham
Højbjerg tells Southampton he is leaving for Spurs
Southampton take the captaincy away from him
Tottenham indicate they value Højbjerg at £15m and want Kyle Walker-Peters included as part of the deal
Southampton say £35m and Walker-Peters to be separate deal
Ajax, Everton talk to Southampton
Ajax and Everton talk to Højbjerg
Højbjerg tells them both he is joining Spurs and would only consider joining if that deal fell through
Ajax give up
Southampton lower price to £25m realising £35m isn't realistic
Everton place a bid (unofficial) - rejected
Everton raise bid to £18m inc bonuses
Højbjerg reiterates to Southampton he is joining Tottenham
Southampton leak a fake story to the press that Everton has bid £25m and it has been accepted
Check with sources and find it's untrue
Meanwhile the Liverpool Echo make enquiries at Everton
Liverpool Echo write a story saying Everton have made no such bid and that Højbjerg has told them he is joining Tottenham
Tottenham: - So What - he is joining Spurs - he knows it, we know it, you know it, shall we get back to negotiations and stop these silly games - our bid remains at £15m + £3m performance related bonuses
Southampton: we want Kyle Walker-Peters in a separate deal and the Højbjerg deal completed first
Tottenham: our offer is £15m + £3m bonuses
Southampton: we want more
Tottenham: our offer is £15m + £3m in bonuses

In upcoming instalments
Southampton: OK
Højbjerg signs for Tottenham
Southampton: we want Kyle Walker-Peters
Tottenham: we want £15m
Southampton: we want to pay half that
Tottenham: we want £15m
Southampton: mumble under breath, OK £10m
Tottenham: OK + bonuses
Eventually a deal gets included that takes the total package to around £12m

We'll see.

When Spurs sign Højbjerg it will show the club backing the manager, but of course because he isn't a £100m world name, the anti-Spurs and won't see that.

Kim Min-jae is more of a club choice, but one Mourinho accepts has potential he can work with.

The South korean is a gamble and I'll write a seperate post on him (if I get around to it or drag up some enthusiasm from the depths) and explain why he is a gamble.

Well chaps, I think I'll draw this post to a close, bid you a fond farewell for another day of happiness.

Happiness, happiness, the greatest gift that I posses
I thank the Lord that I've been blessed
With more than my share of happiness
RIP Doddy
