Aurier, 2 Ndombélé offers, Vertonghen, Schick, Carvalho, Ferguson

Spurs have two offers on the table for Tanguy Ndombélé

Morning folks, another glorious day in which we are going to start with the game, then move on to Tanguy Ndombélé, Jan Vertonghen, Patrik Schick, William Carvalho and Nathan Ferguson taking Crystal Palace out of the running for Jeremy Ngakia.

Congratulations to Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, someone I proposed as Spurs manager before he joined Liverpool.

In 5 years, he only has seven players left from those he inherited and yet José Mourinho hasn't even had a summer window to buy anyone yet, but some Spurs fans are calling for his head!

Daft and not true support.

Serge Aurier

For the second game running Serge Aurier does some good things but simply gives away too many forward passes, as does Sissoko.

You can't simply look at the good they do an ignore the poor.

We need a new right-back.

Tanguy Ndombélé

Why all the fuss over Ndombélé.

He has done virtually nothing in a Spurs shirt and has shown himself to be lazy.

He simply has to wait for his chance and take it when it comes, Lo Celso had to wait.

As for José Mourinho commenting about Ndombélé in training, well that is just encouragement to help a players mindset.

I have been telling you all since before March that he has a mentality problem and finally others are catching up on that with The Athletic writing he is not trying enough in training.

Exactly what I have been saying, he's lazy, he thinks he should have a guaranteed place, as he did in France.

A lot of French footballers have that mentality and it's a shock to the system when they have to fight for a place.

Etienne Capoue had a sulk and a moan, Tanguy Ndombélé is having a sulk too.

He either sorts his mind out and that could takes ages, if he ever does or he has to go. He is no use to Spurs as he is, just a player in the squad who can't be used because he can't be trusted.

In addition to Barcelona negotiating for him, Spurs are negotiating with PSG as well.

The current proposal from the Spanish is a two-year loan deal with a mandatory purchase clause after, while the French are offering a one-year loan deal then a mandatory purchase clause.

Tottenham want an out and out sale, we want the money to spend on other targets.

Either deal will man we have to negotiate a loan with purchase option ourselves, possibly for Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

But Southampton want cash too as they want to buy themselves, so one deal actually involves several deals that all have to tie in together.

That can take time, but then Spurs fans will complain Daniel Levy is waiting

Jan Vertonghen

Jan Vertonghen is leaving Spurs at the end of the season but it is all on good terms.

The club knew the situation and chose to allow him to run down his contract, thus not having to give him a wage increase.

Players get wage increases when the sign an extension to their contract, it's why some players appear to be on low wages, that is what they have chosen.

I reported last summer that he would not be signing for another year or two and that be would be leaving this summer for Ajax.

That has not happened, he has decided he wants a final fling in either Italy or Spain.

Ajax director of football Marc Overmars has now ruled out re-signing Jan Vertonghen this summer,.
"I did speak to his agent, but we made other choices. Jan is no longer a left-back either."

Patrik Schick

Out of favour Roma stiker Patrik Schick, who has been on loan at RB Leipzig with a purchase option they have decided not to take up at the levels the Italian clubs wants.

He has been offered to Tottenham for £22.59m (€25m - AUS$49.77m - US$28.05m) by Franco Baldini say Corriere dello Sport.

RB Leipzig, for whom he scored 10 goals in 22 games, wanted to offer £9.04m (€10m - AUS$16.31m - US$11.22m).

If that is the case, then Spurs will not be interested at €25m, somewhere in the middle, £13.56m (€15m - AUS$24.46m - US$16.83m) ought to be our negotiation aim, if we embark on negotiations.

Transfermarkt value him at £18m (€19.91m - AUS$32.48m - US$22.34m)

He starts 50% of games and has a goal participation figure of 17%.

Schick and Tottenham have history, we tried to sign him before and have continued to track him. His career hasn't hit the heights some were expecting.

Has he not found the right club yet or is he simply a decent striker who has found his level.

AC Milan are interested in signing him and it is a league he knows.

My guess is he will stay in Italy.

While we are talking about strikers, some are reporting that we are interested in Arkadiusz Milik, which is true but Napoli want £45.19m (€50m - AUS$81.52m - US$56.11m).

Spurs are not interested in him at anywhere near that price, nor is anyone else.

As I keep saying, he wants to join Juventus, but cash strapped Juve won't pay the Napoli asking price for him so it will drag on.

Juventus will wait until late in the window while Spurs fans will complain that Daniel Levy is waiting!

William Carvalho

Leicester City have agreed personal terms for Real Betis defensive midfielder William Carvalho, according to Radio Marca.

Local newspaper, the Leicester Mercury reports that the story is nonsense, saying Leicester have the position well covered.

"Brendan Rodgers already has three deep-lying midfielders at his disposal, with Wilfred Ndidi first choice and Hamza Choudhury and Papy Mendy as back-up."

Jose Mourinho has also been reported as being very interested in the 28-year-old (29 next April) Portuguese international (59 caps, 4 goals, 1 assist).

It is the turn of Inter Milan and Monaco to be thrown at the story.

Carvalho has started just 30% of LaLiga games he has been available for and hasn't participated to any goals so a goal participation figure of 0%.

Transfermarkt valuation £14.4m (€15.93m - AUS$25.97m - US$17.87m)

Nathan Ferguson

The Nathan Ferguson rumours have started again I see.

As with most youngsters, he wants to be starting games regularly and Tottenham do not see him as a first-choice right-back so he won't be moving to Spurs.

WBA manager Slaven Bilić has said he is joining Crystal Palace which means Palace will not be signing West Ham right-back Jeremy Ngakia, one of his suitors.

That leaves the two main players as ourselves and Watford, with perhaps Arsenal if they need a right-back.
