Jenas Spurs Analysis Is Spot On

I have been talking for years about players playing others into trouble, yet fans blame the player who has made the final mistake and not looked for the root cause, as a coach does.

I have spoken about how Moussa Sissoko stops us playing as a defensive midfielder previously and at how often Davinson Sanchez goes backwards.

All that does is place under further pressure nearer our own goalline and allows the opposition to move up the field.

We go back to our own goalkeeper from corners or throw-ins high up the field, it's ridiculous. We must have movement ahead of the midfield to receive passes and we must have the midfield making themselves available to receive the ball from the centre-backs, otherwise, it is back to the goalkeeper or a hopeful long ball.

A long ball isn't much use if Lucas Moura is your target man.

Jermaine Jenas does an after game (Wolves vs Tottenham Hotspur) analysis on the BBC that highlights the issues I have consistently been raising.

Have a listen and you'll understand what I ahve been talking about for years now, if you don't already.
