Sky are reporting the net spend of Tottenham as £101.5 million and I'm not going to argue with the numbers, this isn't a post for that.

Spurs have signed four young players with the potential to improve significantly.

In

Number 18 - Giovani Lo Celso - 23-year0old (24 next April) - £16m loan + £35m next summer + add-ons
Number 19 - Ryan Sessegnon - 19-year-old (20 next May) - £24.3m
On loan at Leeds United - Jack Clarke - 18-year-old (19 in November) - £9.9m
Total Spent £104.2m + potential £35m next summer

Out
Kieran Trippier - 28-year-old (29 in September) - £19.8m
Vincent Janssen - 25-year-old (26 next June) - £8.1m
Mousa Dembélé (Jan) - 32-year-old (33 next July) - £4.82m
Fernando Llorente - 34-year-old (35 in February)
Michel Vorm - 35-year-old (36 in September)
Total Income £32.72m

Net Spend £71.48m

The average age of players joining Spurs 20.5
The average age of players leaving Spurs 30.8

An example of the lowering of age is the replacing of Mousa Dembélé at 32 with a man 10 years his junior Tanguy Ndombélé.

He had an OK debut, he played safe, but he did try plenty of forward balls and scored a goal so it was an encouraging debut while he gets used to the league and how we play before he develops and starts to blossom.

You can see his individual performance in the video below.

Ryan Sessegnon returned to running on grass last week Scott Parker told journalists. That should show the Twitterati that he had a hamstring injury all summer so couldn't have a pre-season, thus there was no point signing someone to hand straight to our medical staff until the last moment.

He is still 3/4 weeks away from being fit and is a player for the future so don't expect to see him in the team straight away.

He has joined a club to improve himself as a player so let's hope we see him in some League Cup ties as he grasps what is required of him at this level.
