A very good point from Steve McClaren who said some players are top 6, some players are mid-table, some players are bottom of the Premier League players. Romelu  Lukaki is a mid-table player trying to be a top 6 player but not quite making it.

Because Tottenham have not previously had the money of the other top five clubs, we have had to bring in mid-table layers and try to develop them into top 6 players while training and playing with some Top 6 players.

With a new stadium, we are still a way behind our rivals financially, but we can afford players with better potential to add to the Top 6 players we have.

Two of those are Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon.

As you all know, the discussions for Lo Celso with Real Betis have all been about the structure of the deal. We would not entertain a deal over one year or two years. It would affect future transfer business in next summer and the following summers transfer windows.

You all know my views on Lo Celso, I'm expecting him to turn into a real star and surprise a few Spurs fans with his skill this season. He will wear the number 18 shirt as worn by Harry Kane, Jermain Defoe, Steffen Iversen and Jurgen Klinsmann.

Look at the makeup of the deal as given by someone very close to Real Betis.

The deal is a one-year loan deal with the option to buy if Spurs do not qualify for the Champions League and an obligation to buy if we do qualify for the Champions League.

The fee is as given on 4th July, £56m plus £5 add-ons. 

I have rounded figures up and presented them in pounds to simplicity.

Spurs will pay £16m for an initial one-year loan (PSG will get none of that) 
That leaves £40m 

PSG get 20% of the profit made from Real Betis selling the player 
Lo Celso cost Real Betis £25m (£3m loan fee + £22m transfer fee)

£40m - £25m = £15m profit
PSG get 20% of that £15m profit = £3m

    This sounds like a better deal even than what was being discussed previously, but only because the option of aborting if we fail to qualify for ECL. I doubt it'll make any difference then ;-)
