Plenty of talk and suggestion that we have offered £20.70m (€23m - $25.77m) + Toby Alderwereild to Roma for 20-year-old (21 next July) attacking midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo.
That isn't going to be anywhere near enough.
Zaniolo wants to join Juventus. Tottenham have Zaniolo as an option, but with the signing of Giovani Lo Celso, Pochettino won't need another attacking midfielder if Christian Eriksen doesn't leave.
Zaniolo's agent, Claudio Vigorelli, has said that Tottenham have not stepped up their interest in his client. That will only happen when we know the Eriksen situation is resolved.
Vincent Janssen was offered to Marseilles a few days ago and the French team have already spoken to him. Whether anything comes of it we'll have to wait and see but Mario Balotelli is apparently not staying so they need a replacement.
Balotelli has come to the end of his contract and Marseille boss Andre Villas-Boas is interested in the 25-year-old (26 next June) Dutch international striker.
Why do the people on Spurs Community still keep fretting that if Alderweireld goes we won't replace him. That just plain daft and simply isn't going to happen. If he goes he will be replaced, there isn't any doubt about that. Some pole just like being depressed I think.
Roma value Toby Alderweield at £10.79 million (€12m - $13.53m). Barcelona last summer offered his release clause value now.
I don't see that anyone will activate his release clause and buy him this summer so it looks as if he will run down the final year of his contract to me.

The Czech Republic international (17 caps, 7 goals) signed for Roma on loan from fellow Serie A side Sampdoria in the summer of 2017 for £4.04 million (€4.5m - $5.06m) with a compulsory purchase set at £7.27 million (€8.1m - $9.11m) for 1 July 2018.
Schick has been an unmitigated disaster for Roma. In the 2017/18 season he scored 3 goals in 26 games (1,261 minutes) and in 2018/19 scored 3 goals (2 assists) in 24 Serie A games (1,315 minutes).

Mauricio Pochettino wants to take him on the pre-season tour and have a close look at him ahead of the new season. The young striker may well get some cameos this season. particularly in Cup games, to aid his development and he will be training regularly with the first team squad.
Kieran Trippier was carrying an injury last season and while there have been talks and informal offers, there have been no official bids for him. He is one of our homegrown players and like it or not, they are important, not just for the Premier League squad, but for the Champions League squad also.
My view on him hasn't changed all summer. He needs a summer est and to get himself fit in pre-season. he will then return to form I am sure. If he stays, I am not disturbed by that at all. He will not have the bad season he had last season and fans should not be on his back once the season starts.
We are all supporters and we should support players, hatred towards them is plain stupid and counterproductive.

It may also be that the president of Real Betis (Jean-Michel Aulas) has requested, as part of the deal, that no announcement be made as yet - in order to allow him a better negotiating position for his other business. Daniel Levy & Spurs are known for being able to keep secrets. We generally play our cards close to our chests.
Obviously I can't give you a date, but I can suggest that it will not be before, and probably exactly when, he's recouperated and ready to start training. Before that point there is little or no reason to let the cat out of the bag.
Only nervous fans - particularly those that believe football is about nothing more complicated than buying the best players every window - are likely to be affected by the announcement and frankly they really should understand …
