In Poch and Levy We Trust

Pochettino annoyed with the tired old reporting in the UK

Quite stupidly and unbelievable after beating Real Madrid 1-0 and looking by far the better team with some excellent passing during the game, we have trending on Twitter Levy Out and Back Poch.

Our fanbase is really the worst in the Premier League.

I don't need to explain where we were, that owners are not allowed to buy players as it would result in a European ban or that you have to build a business before you can invest in a team, as per the words of someone who knows a shred more than our fanbase, Sir Alex Ferguson, heard of him!

The transfer window isn't closed so why are the petulant children screaming and throwing their toys out their prams, why are these people getting their knickers in a twist?

Pochettino is pissed off I'm told, well so would I be in his position.

I would say he is sick and tired of the same old question from reporters when they know he doesn't talk about transfers.

It is totally unprofessional to talk about signing players who are employed by another club and totally disrespectful to that employer.

Press conferences are compulsory but are generally a waste of time and should concentrate on the game they are about.

WE have a group of youngsters on tour, why not talk about them, why not ask about the performances and development of Oliver Skipp, Japhet Tanganga and Troy Parrott?

Why not concentrate on how Tanguy Ndombele is fitting in with the new squad and what qualities he is bringing to Spurs play?

Pochettino is a positive man because positivity is the breeding ground of success, it is an essential element to create the right environment to create success. Any successful person can tell you that, yet the unsuccessful spout negativity.

Why? Because they had never achieved success themselves and don't know how it is achieved, they see everything as simplistic when it isn't.

Every little detail is important to success, from buying the right coffee to buying the right players. Every little element plays it's part. You can not have one part of an organisation attempting to achieve success while another part can't be bothered.

Everyone should be pulling in the same direction with the same burning desire to be the best they can be within their role, that's where performance-based pay comes from and annual revenues, that's what they are all about.

The club has grown immeasurably and our chairman took the overdue bonuses he was owed AFTER we had secured funding for the stadium. The little people don't get bonuses in their jobs and don't understand why their leaders do, thus they don't understand why our chairman does.

And that is at the heart of their silly Levy Out noise, they are talking about a subject they don't understand.

Think and Grow Rich is a famous and best-selling book from Napoleon Hill considered to be the Daddy of self-development books. Before writing the book the spoke to hundreds if millionaires, presidents, business leaders etc to find out the formula for success.

He succeeded and this book is the result. If you want to read it you might want a modern updated version but with a little thought and you are supposed to think about each chapter, you will figure it out in its original form.

Many of those chapters speak for themselves but I would highly recommend reading the book to get a greater understanding of the building of Tottenham Hotspur.

  1. We need both quantity and quality when it comes to this transfer window due to the lack of activity we have previously been guilty of.
  2. After beating Real Madrid the first question at the press conference was about Rose - this irritated Pochettino considering what he'd said at the last two press conferences. At least start with something about the match! It seemed pretty obvious to me that Poch has a problem with the journalists and not with Daniel Levy, but of course that's not how some of the journalists are spinning things.
    I imagine that Poch knows that saying anything about transfers or contracts just complicates things so he needs to avoid that. Maybe he should just say "No comment, next question please"
    • There are bloggers like Harry Hotspurs that perpetuates all this garbage every article. And the minions with him with no better. For example, Lo Celso with a season under his belt clause his set a 88m, they want Levy to anti up when Betis only paid 20M a year ago. He won nothing and maybe a slight upgrade. Him with Eriksen would help. Betis flinched by signing Fekir, why wouldn't not out for a cut put the pressure on Betis who looking to make 60M pound on a one yr rental.
  3. It really baffled me when I heard fans say over the last 1-2 years that this club has no ambition. These comments were based soley on transfer activity. As if the billion pound stadium being built on the same spot as WHL shows no real ambition compared to maybe rolling the dice and spending 30 million on a winger in a January transfer window.

    The training ground and stadium are huge investments meant to create a solid foundation for long-term growth and sustainability. It doesn't get more ambitious than building one of the most state-of-the-art stadiums in the entire world. But some of those same people complaining about the lack of ambition look right past that and then mock Levy for putting a cheese room in the new stadium.
  4. I guess it shows that you really don't have to be too bright to support Spurs. Even the clinically diagnosed do it. Unfortunately, they don't add much in the way of intelligent conversation to the party.
