Giovani Lo Celso Imminent, Rose Negotiating

Giovani-Lo-Celso
THBN is expecting the imminent signing of Giovani Lo Celso

The Copa America has finished for Argentina with a victory over Chile to finish in third place and Giovani Lo Celso provided a lovely defense-splitting pass for Dybala to score their second goal.

Just a reminder to new readers that recent posts on players can be found below under the THBN Articles - Further Reading section at the foot of this post.

The last post, for instance, let's you know Ceballos is not flying out with Madrid for their pre-season USA trip and that Real Madrid wants his future sorted this week if at all possible and Eriksen's.
Ceballos Not Flying Out With Madrid On Tuesday

Giovani Lo Celso

I have been informing you all summer long that the left-footed wizard is coming to Tottenham while others have thrown stories of Fernandes at you or even Zaniolo, who as I have mentioned several times wants to join Juventus.

Giovani Lo Celso may well be announced in the coming week now and I'll remind you of the fee that has been agreed for quite a while now £60.99 million + add-ons (€68m - $76.72m), that's at the exchange rates a couple of days ago, 68m euros is the fee.

All stories have been smoke and mirrors, just the same as Tanguy Ndombélé who's fee was agreed right after the international break.

That will be twice in the same window we have broken our transfer record and should shut a few more of the Levy haters up, who just don't understand the economics of modern football and how you have to build a club when in Europe as Sugar Daddies are not permitted under UEFA FFP basically.

Tottenham have been built to be sustainable, not built on a Sugar Daddies pocket. Chelsea are now turning to youth, Manchester United are turning to youth and Arsenal can't afford much even though they have the same income as we now do.

That's because we have not paid silly wages, although we have grown our wage bill and given annual increases for signing an extended contract each summer.

Danny Rose is negotiating a new contract. There are stories flying around after a newspaper suggested he is on the transfer list. Like any player, if an offer comes in we can't resist we would sell, but we are quite happy to keep him while we sign and develop Ryan Sessegnon, who can play anywhere up the left side.

I'll leave you with a few Giovani Lo Celso stats from the game against Chile.

1 assist
43 passes
81.4% pass accuracy
85% pass accuracy in the final 30 metres
5 recoveries
2/3 dribbles successful
2 interceptions
