£379,000-a-week to be taken off the wage bill

Spurs-wages
Spurs are struggling to moves deadwood because of their wages

Supporters are complaining that Tottenham should have shifted their deadwood by now, but the problem is, nobody wants to buy them.

Well, that isn't strictly true, they do want to buy them, but they don't want to pay the wages they are on at Spurs and I guess the players don't want to take a wage cut.

We would love Gareth Bale at Tottenham but we are not going to pay his wages, it is the same further down the scale.

Vincent Janssen
The Dutch striker was awarded the 2016 Johan Cruyff Trophy, the Dutch "Talent of the Year" award but has been a flop at Tottenham and is under contract until 2020.

He is on £34,000-a-week (€37,644 - $42,177).

Victor Wanyama
He has a degenerating knee condition so isn't a player to hang on to.

The 28-year-old (29 next June) reportedly wants to stay and has a contract until 2021.

Who is going to pay him £65,000-a-week (€71,966 - $80,633)?

Mousa Dembélé
Has left Spurs and was on £80,000-a-week (€88,573 - $99,240).

Fernando Llorente
The Spaniard left when his contract expired and we offered him a1-year deal on lower wages. That is an option for him but Pochettino wants to see how Troy Parrott is developing in pre-season first.

Llorente was on £75,000-a-week (€83,037 - $93,038).

Georges-Kevin N'Koudou
His agent, Meissa Ndiaye, revealed that finances didn't work as the reason for a previous move not leaving. His contract runs out in 2021. He is earning £35,000-a-week (€38,751 - $43,418).

Michel Vorm
He has left and was on £40,000-a-week (€44,287- $49,620).
