Transfer-Talk-Tangay-N'dombele

The latest news on Spurs pursuit of Lyon central midfielder Tangay N'dombélé is that the French club need to sell him this month to fall within this seasons financial year and not into next seasons. This may be to comply with Financial Fair Play accountancy rules, where a club has to break even over a three-year period.

Alternatively, it could be down to French football Federation rules where every club must break even every year. Either way, Spurs are going to submit a second offer after our first was rejected and if we capture him then it looks likely that he would be our first signing of the summer.

In the usual lazy journalism from British journalists, the Express are putting a £70 million figure forward as the asking price which is not correct. They have been too lazy to convert euros to pounds.

As I revealed a week ago, French newspaper L'Equipe reported Lyon had engaged super agent Pini Zahavi to sell midfielder Tangay N'dombélé and to get between £61.8 million (€70m) and £88.21 million (€100m) for him.

It is reported that he like the Spurs offer and wants to join us so all parties want this deal tied up quickly. The French international (he started against Bolivia on Sunday) is being chased by a host of top clubs including Manchester City and Manchester United from the Premier League and around Europe.

AC Milan are considering appointing Sampdoria manager Marco Giampaolo as their new coach. It is thought, in the Italian media (Corriere dello Sport) that he will want to take two players with him

Tottenham target Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet, also previously linked with Spurs before he moved to Italy, with him.

It is being reported that PSG will offer Barcelona a one-year loan deal with an option to purchase for Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona needs to raise money to make purchases of their own so it isn't an ideal deal for them.

Real Madrid wants to offload Gareth Bale onto Manchester United in exchange for Paul Pogba, however, why would Bale go to a club with only UEFA Europa League football to offer, that would be a bit of a climb down.
