Tottenham linked Andreas Skov Olsen to be sold this summer or next

Everyone wants to know who Tottenham are buying who will go straight into the team, but that is not the only constant activity.

You always have to plan for the future otherwise you hit a wall, go backward, get into a downward spiral and that affects the first team as you then have to live on what you can generate o spend. Thus who we buy for the future is just as important as who we buy to take us to the next level.

With that in mind, we have been scouting a Danish 'whizkid'.

Andreas Skov Olsen is a 19-year-old (20 in December) Danish footballer who plays as an inverted right winger (he is left-footed) for FC Nordsjælland.

In 26 Superligaen games, the Danish Under-21 international (7 caps, 2 goals) scored 19 goals and had a further 3 assists. Over the season in all games, 44, he scored 26 goals and had a further 6 assists. He scored a goal every 141 minutes, not bad for a wide player.

This was only his second season of top-flight Danish football and he knows he is being watched by scouts from all around Europe. The French press report Lyon and Lille are watching him, the Scottish press that he is on Rangers radar, The German press Bayern Munich, the Spanish press Barcelona, the Turkish press Galatasaray. His games are watched by a sea of scouts, including Tottenham.

FC Nordsjælland wants him to sign a new contract, they appreciate at some point he will be sold, probably in a years time, but if he doesn't sign then he'll be sold this summer, that's what sports manager Carsten V. Jensen has told Tipsbladet.dk.

The Sun have guessed a figure, they don't know and everyone is parrot fashion repeating it as if it is fact, but that's British journalists for you
