Spurs waiting on Poch return to sign Ndombélé but the deal is done and Zaniolo transfer talk

First of all, ignore everything you are reading in the papers because despite what they are reporting the Tanguy Ndombélé is a completed deal.

Why isn't it announced you ask, well, because asI keep reminding everyone, it is holiday period. Mauricio Pochettino is still on holiday, he doesn't return until next week and naturally, the club will want pictures of Ndombélé and Pochettino together.

It is a major signing, he is one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe, all the top clubs have been scouting him. From the Premier League, both Manchester clubs made offers to him, PSG spoke with him, Juventus talked to him.

Ndombélé has had his medical and as I reported last night, the Aulas stories are for the benefit of securing Mendes and Koné from Lille. The Lyon president doesn't want Lille to put their price up so is suggesting the Ndombélé isn't done to force their hand. The press are being played and ill-informed website and regurgitation clickbait website are falling for it.

Ndombélé will be wearing a Spurs shirt next season so if you want me to shout done deal I will, it's a done deal.

Nicolò Zaniolo has been a transfer target for us or at least an alternative to Giovani Lo Celso, but Zaniolo wants to join Juventus and Juventus want to sign him.

Not to worry as I'm supremely confident that Giovani Lo Celso is coming to Spurs.

Roma are still hoping the midfielder will sign a new contract. Corriere dello Sport report that Juventus will offer former Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain to try and sweeten any deal. They have been looking to take the 31-year-old (32 in December) striker on loan.


Liverpool are apparently looking at different targets and cooling their interest in \bruno Fernandes. Of course our clueless media have had him close to signing for four clubs several times, Atlético Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Liverpool. I really don't know why people take any notice of them.

  1. Thanks for this. I expect DL was also happy to defer any announcement in order to sweeten the deal for Aulas. It helps Aulas and thus allows him to be happier signing on the dotted line. We're known as a club for being tight-lipped with the media so that's another reason Aulas would have been more comfortable in the circumstances.

    For those who care, pronunciation should be "Ton-gee N'Dombaylay".

  3. Apparently the N is silent in NDombélé so the pronunciation (Assuming that's correct.) would be Dom-bay-lay. Strangely enough exactly the same as Dembélé should be when not anglicised. Phonetically speaking then, we've just upgraded one Dembélé for the newer and more advanced model.
