Lo Celso And Sessegnon Boys Still To Arrive

Sessegnon-Boys

Right folks, you know Tanguy Ndombélé is coming, something the club has known for a while but the press didn't, hence all the false speculation.

I have no doubt we will secure a deal for Giovani Lo Celso but he, as you all know is at the Copa America and then he'll need a holiday, but he is a part of the squad Pochettino wants to build and that Daniel Levy id buying.

As I understand it a verbal agreement is an all in place between the player and club and the two clubs. Everything will be completed after the Copa Americ.

This is a big summer for the club and Pochettino talking of taking the next step should have told you all what would be happening. We are building and strengthening the squad.

Talk of Gareth Bale has not been pie in the sky, the option has seriously been explored but it is very complicated financially so the standoff over money from Real Madrid continues. Bale, Asensio and Isco remain our preferred choices for Eriksen.

Daniel Levy knows how to run a successful business and as Champions League finalists the club has the pull it has never had before. That is helping us to sign who we want, although there are still players turning us down of course.

Kieran Trippier is leaving, that is obvious and we will complete a deal for him before bringing in a new right-back, but Kyle Walker-Peters, as I have said, will be given the chance to prove himself in pre-season. The ball really is in his court to prove he can handle the step up and improve his game to the level we now require.

If he can we won't need to buy.

Spurs want to sell Toby Alderweireld, if we can't, then we may see him sign a new contract. The situation hasn't change, nobody is coming in for him so we can't buy Joachim Andersen to replace him

Cameron Carter-Vickers hasn't made the grade and will be sold, Josh Onomah, who simply doesn't have the right mentality, will be sold, obviously, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou will be sold as will Vincent Janssen, who I expect to end up in Spain.

The fact that we tried to sign Malcom, Anthony Martial and Matthijs de Ligt last summer should have told you of our intent. We still seek the best young talent, hence Lo Celso and a request to Real Madrid for Marco Asensio. We have again been linked with Malcom this window and we remain interested in him, but as I explained in a previous article, our hands are a little tied over non-homegrown spaces in the squad at the moment.

The rest of the summer should be about Spurs fans enjoying themselves, not complaining, whining and stamping their feet over the best chairman we have had.

The Sessegnon brothers will be joining Spurs so expect to start seeing stories about that in the press shortly. It won't take long before Spurs fans can celebrate their arrival.

You can see in the media there is very little speculation about them and it has been reported in the main press that they have chosen to join Spurs, hence few stories. Ryan has been away with England at the Under-21 European Championships, hence that deal has had to wait but that simple fact seems to be beyond a silly section of our fans.
