It Is Feasible That Gareth Bale Could Return To Tottenham This Summer

Gareth Bale would be happy to return to Tottenham.

Real Madrid are insistent he leaves the club, but he is on a high wage and he wants them to pay the remainder of his contract, which he is fully entitled to ask for.

They have said they will pay him a figure for the duration of his contract, they can not legally then just say we are no longer going to pay you. In effect, he has signed a contract to receive X amount and they must pay him that amount.

That is the standoff going on and the reason nobody can buy him at the moment, as no club is willing to buy him out of his contract and pay a transfer fee for him in the €80m ballpark.

Currently, he is holding out for a €51m payoff from the Spanish. That though reduces the money available for wages for purchases.

If an agreement can be reached, then he'll be free to negotiate a contract with the interested parties and he will, of course, want UEFA Champions League football.


He would have to accept a pay cut, but I think he knows that so it is not impossible for him to sign for Spurs this summer.
