Giovani Lo Celso Masterclass

Before we talk about Giovani Lo Celso, watch this 14-minute video of him, you will be impressed with his skill.

Anyone who has actually read the report in Spain of Spurs interest in Giovani Lo Celso would know that the 60m euro figure was a suggestion from the outlet as to how much it might cost to secure his signature.

It DID NOT say Spurs had bid that amount, it said Spurs had a bid turned down.

Reports in Spain now suggest Spurs initial bid was €35m (£31.16m - $39.68m) plus €5m (£4.45m - $5.57m) bonuses with suggestions Real Betis want nearer to his €100m (£89.03m - $113.36m) release fee.

They have set their bar high, we have set the bar low, now both sides have to find an agreeable point in the middle. The player himself is reported to want to join Tottenham and his Instagram account has been followed by Paulo Gazzaniga and Serge Aurier.

The Argentinians can't understand why he wasn't given a single minute during the World Cup in Russia last summer, particularly now that he is playing with Messi like they have been playing for years.

The reason is possibly that PSG bought him and played him as a defensive midfielder or central midfielder. Real Betis bought him and played him in central midfield, before moving him into the attacking midfield role.

In his first game in that position, he had an assist and in the next game scored a goal. The next game he played in that position he scored again and then 9 of the last 10 LaLiga games he played as an attacking midfielder. In that time he scored 4 goals and had a further assist.

In all, that's 12 games as an attacking midfielder, 4 goals, and 2 assists.

Currently, he is starring for Argentina and is on the same wavelength as Lionel Messi, something the Argentinians haven't seen for years. Will they win the Copa America as a result. A transfer won't happen while that is taking place so chill people, chill.

The Daily Mirror suggestion that Spurs initial bid was £53m is totally at odds with every other previous report. Yes, Spurs will submit a new bid, but better than the initial bid, not the figure the Daily Mirror report.

It is far more likely that the offer will be €53m (£47.18m - $60.08m). That would be my guess based on that story but quite frankly, nobody knows what Spurs offer will be, they don't tell the Daily Mirror in advance!
