So who else have Tottenham been scouting?

A central midfielder from the Bundesliga by the name of Nadiem Aniri according to German magazine Kicker.

The 22-year-old (23 in October) German Under-21 international central midfielder can also play as an attacking midfielder or on the left, being right-footed.

He missed the first half of the season with a fatigue fracture and didn't make an appearance for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga until January 26th. In the 13 games left he played central midfield in 9 of them (2 goals,1 assist), attacking midfield in 2 (1 goal, 1 assist), left midfield 1 and right midfield in 1 game.

Manchester United (Europa League), Bayer Leverkusen (Champions League), Wolfsburg (Europa League), RB Leipzig (Champions League), Schalke (no European football), and Arsenal (Europa League) have all been linked with Amiri, who is it suggested, has a €15m (£13.32m - $16.99m) release clause.

His contract runs out in a year and Hoffenheim are hopeful he will sign a contract extension. Until he knows the score around Europe with the clubs interested in him, he'll hold off on that and if nothing is going to materialize then he'll no doubt sign.
