El Confidential are suggesting that if Tottenham were prepared to bid £88.16 million (€100m) for Spanish international Marco Asensio, then Real Madrid, despite saying he is not for sale, might seriously consider it

Another report suggests we have made a £42 million (€47.65m) for the 23-year-old (24 next January) that has been turned down.

In a phone call earlier in the week, Spurs were told to meet his buyout clause of £618.31 million (€700m) or forget it, but we are hoping a realistic bid and the fact they want Christian Eriksen will convince them to open negotiations.

The Spanish paper report that if Real Madrid were to buy Neymar or Kylian Mbappé then Marco Asensio could be sold.

The news from Italy is that Juventus and Inter Milan have cooled their interest in Joachim Andersen, if there was ever genuine interest given Inter Milan are linked with every player going.

The Daily Mail suggested back in April that Sampdoria would want £50 million+ (€56.72m) for the Danish international, but reports earlier this month suggested they had asked for £35 million (€39.71m) for him and that we had offered £25 million (€28.36m).

Arsenal are sending a scout to watch him and midfielder Dennis Praet this weekend but can't compete with us in the transfer market without Champions League football next season at the moment.

Sampdoria have signed German Under-20 centre-back Julian Chabot from Dutch side Groningen for £3.26 million (€3,7m) which suggests Andersen is on his way this summer, presumably after he has played in the U-21 European Championships, having been selected by Denmark.
