Well, it has been an excellent start to the day with the Willie Mullins trained Real Steel trotting up by 10 lengths in the 12:00 at Fairyhouse at 6/4.

Betameche has followed that up at 7/2 in the 1:40 at Uttoxeter and the lay bet on Captain Woodie in the same race was spot on. Getting news this morning that Henderson didn't fancy this one changed the complexion of this race and meant a decent price on our selection.

Fingers crossed for our final runner from the Mullins yard again. 

There are a couple of interesting Brendan Powell runners at Chelmsford tonight, one at a big price, but it is a question of whether the horse decides to turn up so one to watch for me.

No bets this evening.

On the football front I have picked out a treble for this afternoon:

Wolves to win
Aston Villa to score 2 or more goals
Blackburn v Hull to have Over 1.5 goals
