Clearly, at 6’5¨ he offers something that we don’t have; I’m looking forward to us actually scoring a goal from the plethora of corners that we manage to force each game!
It does, however raise some questions…
Will we see Poch playing 2 up front, especially if the occasion demands it?
Is there room on the bench for 2 strikers?
I feel for VJ I really do cos, let’s face it, he’s not had a lot of playing time and I can understand his refusal to leave for B’ton on loan.
In Poch we trust, and I still do, but is he (Poch) relying on his chairman to bail him out of the misfits?
You see, I don’t subscribe to this notion that Poch has a magical touch and that therefore every player who arrives will automatically become a better player.
Sissoko is clearly much happier playing in his natural position (CMF) but Poch wanted him play on the right flank.
Then there is Alli…showboating yet again against Malta..yep I know he provided the assist for the fi…
I agree there will be situations when both need to be on the pitch and I'm sure that will happen. I also agree with VJ but he is another Soldado it seems, he is in a catch 22. he has to perform to play more and play more to perform. Bottom line it is down to him to produce, but he spends too long with his back to goal.
Trying things is what changes games and as long as Dele is trying them in the last third there isn't a problem. Of course if you want him to just be like every other player.....
