Sissoko confusion

TRANSFER TALK

Fanatik in Turkey say Moussa Sissoko, who has just been left out of the French squad, flew to Turkey yesterday on a private jet, while outlet GoalBien suggest he’s set to complete his medical and formalities ahead of the proposed transfer.

The Turkish press are none too reliable and players are frequently on the verge of signing when in fact they are nowhere near it. We do know that Trabzonspor do want to take him on loan and it has been suggested that they will pay him around £3.22 million (€3.5m - AUS$5.22m - US$4.13m) wages which equates to £61,907-a-week (€67,308 - AUS$100,430 - US$79,373).

That doesn't cover his wages and is presumably what the Turkish side would like, as opposed to what may actually happen. The Turkish press often state their wage offer as what the player will be receiving when it is in fact what they would lkike him to receive, two different things altogether.

The suggestion was that they wouldn't pay a loan fee, yet other reports, also from Turkey suggest a loan fee of £2.76 million (€3m - AUS$4.48m - US$3.54m) while earlier reports suggested a loan fee of £4.61 million (€5m - AUS$7.46m - US$5.9m).

talkSPORT claim he is flying out for a medical, no doubt just reporting these reports from Turkey, yet one of their broadcasters Tweets that he has been told Sissoko is close to joining Italian giants Juventus, no doubt just repeating a non-detailed suggestion from the Italian press.

Nobody seems to know what is happening with him. he has started a game for us and has provided experienced cover at the start of the season, but as he has an almost non-existent relationship with Mauricio Pochettino, he isn't going to stay at the club in World Cup year you would think.

Sissoko has been told by French national manager Didier Deschamps that he needs to be playing regular football to be picked for the World Cup and leaving him out of the French squad for the next international break is a reminder of that.

If we cant sell him permanently, as we wish to do, then a loan deal with an option to buy might be our only option and Trabzonspur might be his only option.
