Reports suggest Liverpool have turned down a Barcelona bid of around £120 million for 25-year-old (26 next June) Brazilian midfileder Philippe Coutinho. There are suggestions that the Spanish giants are going to come back with a bid of around £138 million and it is known that, unsurprisingly, Coutinho wants to leave and join them.

If we look at the statistics for Christian Eriksen and Coutinho we see Eriksen come out on top. Does this give a guide price for anyone wanting to buy 25-year-old (26 next February) Eriksen?

Mauricio Pochettino has signed a third-choice goalkeeper he knows well, 25-year-old (26 next January) Paulo Gazzaniga from Southampton. He provides us with experienced cover should Hugo Lloris suffer an injury and we have to rely on Michel Vorm between the sticks.

Uninspiring to some, three goalkeepers are essential to clubs aiming to challenge for honours at the top of the league. His last Premier League game was in 2015 against Spurs.

He has played 22 games for Gillingham, 23 games for Southampton, 34 on loan at Spanish Liga 2 side Rayo Vallecano last season and 38 games for Southampton Under-23's.
