Walker fee will be £55m plus add-ons

TRANSFER TALK

I'm hearing the Kyle Walker fee is £55 million (€62.41m - AUS$91.78m - US$71.26m) plus add-ons, which is massively over his CIES Football Observatory estimated transfer value of £35.25 million (€40m - AUS$58.98m - US$45.62m).

CIES keep a note of their estimated and actual prices that take into account contract length in their algorithm and have proven over time to be accurate. They demonstrate what a great deal we are getting and gives us money to reinvest in the market.

We need to shift Moussa Sissoko, but his wages are a stumbling block. Marseille want him, but they will not pay him the £95,000-a-week he wants. We may have to give him a payoff to get shot of him so he can accept a lower wage at another club.

Pau Lopez is training with Tottenham which all but conforms a deal will be going through. That leaves us needing a right-back, centre-back if Kevin Wimmer leaves, an attacking midfielder who can play anywhere across the three behind a lone striker and a striker.

Ricardo Pereira (right-back) and Ross Barkley (attacking midfield) look to be two of the positions covered with Juan Foyth being bought as a centre-back for the future. Will Cameron Carter-Vickers be featuring more than people expect this season?

He could be out number one back up to Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in a back three.
